The equip an egg task in OSRS Leagues 6 is connected to a quest unlock in Varlamore. It looks like a small task, but it stays blocked until the right quest is finished and the reward is claimed the right way.

How To Unlock Equip An Egg In OSRS Leagues 6

To equip an egg in OSRS Leagues 6, complete Scrambled! in Varlamore, then talk to the egg on the wall to obtain the Egg. That is the unlock behind the task, and until Scrambled! is finished, there is no Egg to use for it.

That clears up most of the confusion around this one. The task is not asking for some random egg from around the game, and it is not connected to a relic interaction or some hidden item use. It is connected to the specific quest reward from Scrambled!.

Once the quest is done, the task becomes simple. The hard part is only knowing what unlocks it in the first place.

Scrambled! Requirements Before You Can Get The Egg

Scrambled! is started by speaking to Alan at the temple of Tal Teok, just north of Tal Teklan. Before the quest can even be started, the account needs 38 Construction, 36 Cooking, 35 Smithing, and completion of Children of the Sun. In Leagues 6, the route is also connected to Varlamore access.

That means the equip an egg task is really a progression check. If it is sitting there incomplete, there is usually nothing wrong with the item or the interface. The account simply has not cleared the unlock path yet.

For a lot of Leagues tasks, that distinction is important. Some are solved by picking up an item. Some are solved by wearing the right gear. This one is solved by opening the quest reward first.

Where To Start Scrambled! In Varlamore

The quest start is straightforward once you know the location. Alan is at the temple of Tal Teok north of Tal Teklan, and that is where the whole unlock path begins.

Scrambled! is listed as a short quest, but it still sends the player through a full set of quest steps around the Tal Teklan area. There are item collection steps, repairs, dialogue sections, and a few enemy encounters before the reward is available.

That is useful to know going in, because this is not a 10 second claim and done task. It is quick by quest standards, though it still takes a proper run through the content before the Egg becomes available.

How The Egg Reward Actually Works

The important detail comes after completion. Scrambled! does not just finish and automatically tick the task by itself. After the quest, an Egg can be obtained by talking to the egg on the wall.

That extra step is the part people often miss. Finishing the quest opens the reward, but the player still needs to go get the Egg from the post quest interaction. If Scrambled! is complete and the task still is not done, that is the first thing to check.

This makes the task feel a little more specific than the name suggests. The real goal is not simply “finish Scrambled!” The goal is finish Scrambled!, then claim the Egg tied to it.

Why Equip An Egg Feels Confusing In Leagues 6

The wording of the task makes it sound broader than it really is. “Equip an egg” sounds like it could be any oddball item challenge, especially in Leagues where plenty of tasks are built around unusual equipment or one off interactions.

Here, the answer is much narrower. The Egg is a quest connected item from Varlamore, and the whole task is built around that unlock path. Once that is clear, the task stops feeling weird and turns into a simple checklist. Unlock Varlamore, meet the requirements, finish Scrambled!, claim the Egg.

That also helps with route planning. If the task is on the to do list, it is worth grouping it with other Varlamore quest and skilling progress instead of treating it like a standalone detour.

Is Scrambled! Worth Doing For More Than Just The Egg

Scrambled! gives more than the task unlock. The quest reward also includes 1 Quest Point plus 5,000 Construction XP, 5,000 Cooking XP, and 5,000 Smithing XP.

That gives it a bit more value during a Leagues run, especially if the account is already building toward Varlamore tasks and wants easy progress in those skills at the same time. It is still a niche task unlock overall, though it does not feel wasted because the quest gives useful account progress along the way.

If the route is already spending time in Varlamore, this is the kind of task that fits cleanly into a broader progression block.

Final Blurb

Equip an egg in OSRS Leagues 6 is connected directly to Scrambled! in Varlamore. Finish the quest, talk to the egg on the wall, claim the Egg, and the task is open. It sounds stranger than it plays. Once the quest gate is gone, the whole thing is quick and straightforward.
