This guide covers every boat you can use in Sailing and how each one changes your runs across the ocean.
Boat Overview
Sailing has three main boats, the raft, the skiff, and the sloop. Each one unlocks new routes, facilities, and deeper ocean content. You move through them naturally as your Sailing level rises and your materials stack up.
Raft
The raft is your starter boat from Pandemonium. It handles basic charting and short courier tasks. It moves slowly and has almost no space but it teaches you how the helm works and how ocean encounters appear. You use the raft only long enough to hit level fifteen and unlock your next upgrade.
Skiff
The skiff unlocks at level fifteen and is your first real boat. It has more cargo space, more control, and facility hotspots for tools like salvaging hooks. The skiff lets you salvage shipwrecks, run longer courier loops, and enter wider charting zones. Most of your mid level progress happens on the skiff since it handles deeper waters and tighter routes without drifting all over the place.
Sloop
The sloop unlocks around level fifty and is built for long trips, deep sea trawling, and higher level bounty tasks. It carries more materials, handles storms better, and fits advanced facilities for cannons, trawling nets, and speed tools. This is the boat you use for Barracuda Trials, deeper wreck routes, and the strongest ocean encounters.
Once you reach the sloop you spend most of your late game Sailing leveling on it.
