PEAK Achievements & Trophy Guide (Game)
Here is a guide to help you unlock all 32 achievements / trophies in the game PEAK, also called Badges.
All achievements can be completed on any difficulty, including Tenderfoot. Escape achievements require you to finish the run on the helicopter, but most others unlock as soon as you meet the condition.
All Achievements and How to Get Them
Alpinist Badge
Reach the campfire at the top of the ALPINE zone. This is the third area on the climb, after Shore and Tropics. You’ll see snow, cold wind, and icy terrain when you’re there.
Animal Serenading Badge
Pick up the bugle at the start of the game near the crashed plane. Then make your way to the ALPINE area and search for a hot spring. A capybara sits inside it. Use the bugle near the capybara to unlock the badge.
Arborist Badge
In the TROPICS, look for one of the huge umbrella-shaped trees. Climb to the topmost leaves using branches and stamina-boosting items like lollipops or energy drinks. Reach the highest leaf cluster to earn this.
Balloon Badge
Escape the island without taking any fall damage. Always climb down instead of jumping. Catch vines or chains while falling to avoid injuries. Even a small drop can disqualify you, so take your time.
Beachcomber Badge
Climb past the SHORE area and reach the campfire at the top of it. This is the first section of the game and unlocks naturally as you progress.
Bing Bong Badge
Grab Bing Bong from the wreckage of the starting plane and keep him in your inventory all the way to the PEAK. Escape on the helicopter while still carrying him. All living players get the badge as long as one person is holding him.
Bookworm Badge
Scrolls spawn randomly near the four campfires. Each scroll gives one page of the hidden story. You need to read all 8 pages in the right order or Steam won’t count them (bug, but they might fix it later). Multiplayer workarounds are needed to force the right page sequence. Once you’ve read all 8 in the correct order, the badge unlocks.
Bouldering Badge
Find pitons in luggage and place 10 total across any number of runs. To place one, climb a wall and hold right-click with a piton equipped. You don’t need to do this in a single session.
Clutch Badge
Use a scout statue to revive 3 ghosted players at once. A simple way is to climb to a campfire with your group, have 3 of them jump off, then use the statue to bring them back.
Cooking Badge
Cook 20 different items at any fire. The first cooking attempt on each item counts, even if it’s inedible. You can use any campfire, including the one on the plane wing at spawn.
Endurance Badge
Climb 50 meters vertically without touching the ground. Use a rope chain, chain launcher, or combine a lollipop and energy drink to power through a large wall. Playing on Tenderfoot helps reduce stamina drain.
Emergency Preparedness Badge
Revive a player from unconsciousness using the correct item. When someone collapses with swirly eyes, treat them based on the affliction type:
For hunger, feed them
For injury, use a medkit, root, or bandage
For poison, use antidotes or cure-all
Once the total afflictions drop below their stamina limit, they’ll wake up.
Esoterica Badge
Mystical items come from Ancient Luggage (red-heart chests that hurt you) or from scout statues when no revives are needed. Open either to get a mystical item and earn the badge.
First Aid Badge
Heal 100 points of injury in one run. Use healing items like bandages, medkits, medicinal roots, or yellow winterberries. Right-click on your injured friend while holding the item. Fall damage is an easy way to create injury to heal.
Foraging Badge
Eat 5 different types of berries during one run. These count:
Berrynana – vines in Tropics
Clusterberry – thick vines or poison vines
Crispberry – small bushes in Shore or Tropics
Kingberry – thin trees in Tropics
Napberry – rare, grows in Alpine saplings
Scorchberry – bushes in Tropics
Tick – attach to your leg in Tropics; can be eaten
Winterberry – trees in Alpine
Color variants don’t matter, only the type.
Gourmand Badge
In a single run, cook and eat all four of these:
Coconut Half – from palm trees, throw to crack open
Egg – found in bird nests in Caldera
Honeycomb – knock down beehives in Tropics and open them
Yellow Winterberry – found in Alpine, often at the hot spring
Cook each one at a fire, eat them, then escape to get the badge.
Happy Camper Badge
Get 5 morale boosts over multiple runs. Stand near a campfire when it activates while at least one other player is nearby. You’ll see a message in the bottom left when it happens.
High Altitude Badge
Climb a total of 5,000 meters across all playthroughs. One full run to the peak is around 1,900 meters, so you’ll unlock this naturally after a few successful climbs.
Knot Tying Badge
Place 100 meters of rope in one expedition. Gather rope items from luggage, then place all of them as you go. Rope launchers, rope spools, anti-ropes, and vines all count.
Leave No Trace Badge
Escape without placing anything on the mountain. That includes pitons, rope launchers, chain launchers, rope spools, and portable stoves. You can still use shelf shrooms and magic beans.
Lone Wolf Badge
Escape in a solo offline run. Climb through the entire mountain and take the helicopter alone. Wait for an easier island rotation if needed.
Mentorship Badge
The Scoutmaster spawns when you climb far ahead of the second-highest player. Make sure others stay far below you. He causes screen static when nearby. You can also use the Scoutmaster Bugle, found in Ancient Luggage, to summon him. Bugged occasionally, so try multiple times if needed.
Mycology Badge
Eat four different non-toxic mushrooms in one expedition. Only certain shapes are safe:
Bugle – smooth underside
Button – X on cap
Chubby – always non-toxic
Cluster – clean stems
Find them in the Shore or Tropics. If they look different, they’re probably toxic.
Naturalist Badge
Escape without eating any packaged food. These count as packaged:
Airline Food
Energy Drink
Granola Bar
Lollipop
Scout Cookies
Sports Drink
Trail Mix
Avoid all of them. Campfire marshmallows, Pandora’s Lunchbox, and Cure-all are allowed.
Participation Badge
Be a ghost (skeleton form) when someone else escapes on the helicopter. You must be fully dead, not just unconscious, and already at the Peak when they leave.
Peak Badge
Reach the PEAK, the area right before the final helicopter. You don’t need to escape for this badge, just make it to the very top.
Plunderer Badge
Open 15 luggage containers in one run. Their locations don’t change for that day’s island seed. Learn the spawns and hit as many as you can. Best done solo on Tenderfoot.
Speed Climber Badge
Escape in under one hour. Stick to an efficient route, avoid looting, and use stamina items to speed up. Playing solo or with one other person helps avoid delays.
Survivalist Badge
Escape without falling unconscious. If your afflictions pass your stamina bar, you’ll collapse. Always manage hunger, poison, cold, and injury early. Use a lantern to avoid freezing in Alpine.
THE PEAK
Reach the very top of the game world. This badge is unlocked once you arrive at the Peak area, even if you don’t escape.
Toxicology Badge
Heal a total of 200 poison points over multiple runs. Poison sources include:
Poison gas bombs
Poisonous food
Purple leaves
Spiked vines
Ticks
Use antidotes, cure-all, medkits, or medicinal roots to treat poison and build progress over time.
Final Blurb
Most of PEAK’s achievements can be done slowly and safely, especially on Tenderfoot. A few, like Bookworm and Leave No Trace, are trickier or buggy, so take your time or plan with others.
If you’re grinding out the full list, treat each climb like a checklist run.
FAQ
Q: Can I do all achievements on Tenderfoot difficulty?
Yes, every badge works on Tenderfoot.
Q: Do I need to escape the island for every badge?
No, only the escape-related badges need a helicopter finish.
Q: Do I have to carry Bing Bong myself?
No. As long as someone escapes while holding him, everyone alive gets the badge.
Q: Can I still eat marshmallows for Naturalist?
Yes, marshmallows from campfires are allowed. Just avoid anything looted from luggage.
Q: How do I know if a mushroom is safe?
Use the shape. Chubby is always safe. Button, Bugle, and Cluster have specific safe variants. If unsure, don’t risk it.
Q: What happens if I read a scroll page out of order?
It’ll still be marked as read, but your Steam achievement won’t update until you’ve read all earlier pages. Use page tracking and a partner to force proper order.
