PEAK Alpine Level Tips & Guide

PEAK Alpine Level Tips & Guide

Written by Jason B.

The Alpine level in the game PEAK is a snowy mountain zone with harsh blizzards, tough climbs, and barely any food. You’ll need heat packs and stamina recovery to survive this one.

Snowstorms Freeze You

Blizzards hit at random throughout Alpine. When they do, your character freezes and your stamina drains fast.

You can't avoid them, but opening luggage in this zone can reward you with heat packs. These restore stamina more quickly, helping you recover after each storm.

You’ll want to keep several on hand or you won’t make it far.

The Terrain Is Brutal

There are no vines or bridges here. Instead, you’ll be climbing across icy spikes sticking out from cliffs.

These are hard to spot and tricky to move between. But they sometimes hide luggage bags, so it’s worth checking every spike you can reach.

Watch out for dark blue patches on the ground. Stepping on one freezes you instantly.

Don’t Miss the Capybaras

One of the best secrets in Alpine is a few capybara hanging out in a hot spring.

They don’t help you survive, but finding them does unlock a Steam achievement. Plus, they’re a nice break from the freezing misery around you.

Final Blurb

Alpine is cold, cruel, and stingy with supplies. The heat packs help, but the terrain and snowstorms make every step a struggle.

At least the capybara seem to be having a good time.

Q: Are there any food sources in Alpine?

Very few. You’ll need to rely mostly on luggage bags for supplies.
