PEAK Game Map Guide: All Levels & Tips

PEAK All Levels Game Guide

Written by Jason B.

There are five levels in the game PEAK, each with its own hazards and layout. You start on the Shore and end inside a volcano. Here's a simple guide to help you through each one without wasting stamina or falling into lava.

Note: The levels change each day, so runs will always be different.

Mesa

In Peak’s Mesa biome, survival comes down to heat control, hazard awareness, and smart timing. Stick to shadows or travel at night to avoid the sun’s damage, using Aloe Vera, Sunblock, or Capybara pools to recover heat. Pick up and throw dynamite instead of running blindly, and keep distance from cacti, especially near tornadoes that can launch you into them.

Use embedded pickaxes briefly for stamina recovery before they break, and plan your movement to avoid exposure and dangerous terrain.

Shore

The Shore is your starting point. You’ll wake up on the beach with plenty of luggage nearby.

Grab the backpack, loot as many bags as you can, and avoid jellyfish and purple plants. Both will poison you and drain stamina.

Look for items like rope cannons and pitons, not just food. There’s plenty of food later. Once you climb the first mountain, you’ll reach the Statue and get your first legendary item.

Tropics

The Tropics is full of vines, poison plants, and explosive bushes.

You’ll be swinging more here, so keep rope cannons with you. Use the Shore guidebook to avoid poisonous mushrooms. Some can end your run fast if you’re not careful.

If you got a good buff from the Statue, now’s the time to use it.

Alpine

Alpine brings cold weather, icy spikes, and random blizzards.

Snowstorms freeze you and lower stamina fast. Luggage in this zone can drop heat packs, which help you recover faster after storms.

There are no bridges or vines here. You’ll need to climb across ice spikes, some of which have extra luggage. Avoid stepping on dark blue patches, since they also freeze you.

There is sometimes a hidden hot spring with capybaras nearby. It’s tied to an achievement.

Caldera

Caldera is a lava zone with little vertical climbing. You’ll be running across burning rocks as lava rises and falls.

When the lava lowers, red-hot stones appear. You can run across them, but you’ll still take burn damage. Stepping in lava kills you instantly.

Luggage is rare in this area. Bring healing items ahead of time. The goal is to cross the map and climb a black brick tower at the volcano’s base.

The Kiln

The Kiln is the final level. It takes place inside the volcano and goes back to vertical climbing.

It’s one long pit with almost no supplies and very few rest points. You’ll be climbing straight up surrounded by lava and heat.

There is no reward at the top besides finishing the game. Make sure you bring everything you need before entering.

Final Blurb

Each PEAK level adds new problems. The more you climb, the less help you get. It starts calm and ends inside a volcano.

If you brought the right tools and played smart, you’ll reach the top. If not... there’s always another run.
