Pokemon Pokopia Biomes: Full List Of All Areas
Biomes are the main regions of the island in Pokemon Pokopia. Each biome is a separate area where you explore, build houses, create habitats, and attract new Pokemon. As you restore each biome and increase its Environment Level, more Pokemon begin appearing and the area slowly turns from ruins into a thriving habitat.
Below is the current list of known biomes in Pokemon Pokopia and how they work… Note this is a WIP.
Known Biomes In Pokemon Pokopia
At launch, players begin in the Withered Wasteland. Additional biomes unlock as the story progresses and more areas of the island are restored.
Withered Wasteland
The Withered Wasteland is the first biome players explore at the start of Pokemon Pokopia.
This area begins as a damaged region filled with ruins and scattered materials. Early gameplay focuses on rebuilding structures, attracting Pokemon, and creating habitats to improve the environment.
Professor Tangrowth introduces many of the early mechanics here, including building houses and raising the Environment Level. As more Pokemon move in, the biome gradually becomes livelier and unlocks new crafting options.
Additional Biomes
More biomes appear later in the game as the island opens up.
Each biome introduces different terrain, materials, and Pokemon that can appear when habitats are built. Some Pokemon only spawn when their habitat exists inside a specific biome.
Because of this, expanding into new biomes is necessary if you want to encounter every Pokemon and fully complete the Pokédex.
How Biomes Work In Pokemon Pokopia
Biomes are not just visual regions on the map. Each biome functions as its own development zone.
Players restore these areas by building structures, attracting Pokemon, and increasing the Environment Level. As the biome improves, more Pokemon become comfortable living there.
Over time the biome transforms from a ruined landscape into a populated area full of habitats and houses.
Biomes Affect Pokemon Habitat Spawns
Where you build a habitat matters.
Certain Pokemon only appear when their habitat exists in a specific biome. Even if you build the correct habitat type, the Pokemon may not spawn if the biome conditions are wrong.
Because of this system, players eventually need to build habitats across multiple biomes to attract every Pokemon.
Environment Level And Biomes
Each biome has an Environment Level that tracks how developed the area is.
The Environment Level increases as Pokemon move into habitats and their Comfort Levels improve. Higher levels usually unlock new shop items, building options, and sometimes new Pokemon.
Keeping Pokemon happy within a biome helps raise this level faster.
Expanding Across The Island
Early gameplay mostly happens inside the Withered Wasteland, but the island grows much larger as the story progresses.
Unlocking additional biomes gives you more space to build, new resources to gather, and more Pokemon to recruit. Expanding your habitats across multiple biomes is one of the main long term goals in Pokemon Pokopia.
Final Blurb
Biomes are the foundation of the world in Pokemon Pokopia. Every area you restore becomes a new home for Pokemon and another place to build habitats and structures. Starting in the Withered Wasteland and expanding across the island slowly reveals more Pokemon, resources, and building opportunities.
Managing multiple biomes and developing each environment is a big part of turning the island into a full Pokemon paradise.
