Let us talk about the Clown, aka the loud, laser monster freak that haunts your nightmares and your R.E.P.O. missions. He’s fast, he’s angry, and he will absolutely erase you from existence if you’re not paying attention. Here’s how to deal with this circus reject before he deals with you.

What the Clown Does (Besides Ruin Everything)
Health: 250 HP
Main Attack: Laser beam that sweeps side-to-side. Deals 50 damage per tick (tick = 0.2 seconds). Translation: it melts you fast.
Trigger Sound: Laughs like a maniac when he sees you. If you hear the laugh, start panicking.
Laser Sweep: Tracks your height—so being up high doesn’t always help.
Cooldown: After firing, he’s stunned for a couple seconds. This is your one shot to run or fight.
Alternate Attack: If the laser’s cooling down (about 8 seconds), he charges and kicks. The kick does 50 damage and launches you, usually to your doom via fall damage or bad physics.
Bonus Fun: Laser destroys scrap, so keep your loot out of his line of fire unless you enjoy heartbreak.
How to Survive the Clown (aka Laser Monster)
1. Laser Dodging Trick (Simple But Crucial)
If you’re crouching when the Clown fires up the laser, jump.
If you’re standing, crouch.
The laser aims for your head, so changing your height at the last second will save your life.
2. Dodge the Kick (Unless You Like Flying)
Watch for the wind-up—when his leg goes back, jump.
Do it right, and you’ll stay on the ground instead of ragdolling into a wall.
3. Use the Terrain (Cheese It)
High Ledges: He can’t jump, so bait the laser from above. When he’s stunned, drop down and hit him.
Sturdy Cover: Hide behind stuff that can’t be destroyed to avoid getting toasted.
Crouch Timing: You can crouch under the laser, but mess it up and you’ll get fried.
4. Be Sneaky (Kinda Works)
The Clown is deaf-ish, so you can talk quietly without him noticing.
If he thinks you’re hiding, he might kick at random. Don’t be there when he does.
