Roblox The Forge How to Get Runes

Runes are one of the biggest power boosts in The Forge. They turn regular weapons and tools into rare, stat-stacking gear that changes how you play. Here’s everything you need to know about where to get them, how to use them, and which ones are worth keeping.
How To Get Runes
You can find runes as random world loot or hidden inside chests while exploring, as well as from enemies when defeated (undead have a better chance, like zombies, and stronger enemies = even higher chance). Once you have a solid amount, visit the Runemaker in Stonewake’s Cross Village.
How To Equip Runes
Before you can slot a rune, your weapon or pickaxe needs to be at least +3. Once upgraded, talk to the Runemaker and choose the piece of equipment you want to enhance. From there:
Pick a rune from your inventory
Pay the coin fee to attach it
Confirm the slot upgrade
You can also pay the Runemaker to remove a rune without losing it, letting you swap builds whenever you want. Some high-tier pickaxes already come with rune slots unlocked, so check your gear before wasting resources.
How To Sell Runes
If you find duplicates or weak ones, head to Greedy Cey near The Cave. She buys unwanted runes for coins. It’s not huge money, but it’s better than leaving them in storage.
All Known Runes
Here’s a full rundown of every rune currently available in The Forge and what they do.
Frost Speck: Freezes enemies for a short time
Chill Dust: Slows movement and attack speed
Flame Spark: Adds burn damage based on weapon power
Venom Crumb: Deals poison damage over time
Miner Shard: 5 percent chance for extra ore while mining
Drain Edge: Restores HP equal to ~12 percent of physical damage
Lethality I: Increases physical damage by around 15 percent
Rage Mark: Boosts damage and attack speed when HP is below 35 percent
Ward Patch: Around 15 percent chance to reduce physical damage taken
Stride I: Increases dash distance by about 10 percent
Blast Chip: Triggers an explosion on hit that deals AoE damage
Rot Stitch: Emits poison AoE when HP drops below 35 percent
Briar Notch: Reflects a portion of physical damage back to attackers
Each rune enhances your playstyle differently. Combat-focused players lean toward Flame Spark, Rage Mark, and Drain Edge, while miners love Miner Shard for better yield.
Farming Tips
Focus on stronger undead monsters since they have the best drop rates
Boost your Luck stat to increase rune drop chances from all sources
Combine runes that match your weapon type for better synergy
Always keep a few empty rune slots for testing new builds
Final Blurb
Runes define late-game builds in The Forge. Keep farming elite undead, upgrade your gear to +3, and experiment with combinations until you find your perfect setup. Selling extras to Greedy Cey is fine, but the right rune can make your next boss run a whole lot easier.
