Note: This guide covers content from Schedule 1, a satirical video game set in a fictional world. All items, recipes, and references are entirely made up and exist only in the game. Please don’t try any of this in real life!
XP in Schedule 1 isn’t handed out like candy. You actually have to work for it. But if you know where to focus, you can fly through the ranks without grinding your soul into fertilizer.

1. Sell It Yourself
Yes, your dealers are helpful. Yes, it’s tempting to let them do all the work while you redecorate the bungalow. But if you want real XP, you need to hit the pavement and sell directly. Street sales give noticeably more experience than letting your NPCs do the heavy lifting.
Talk to people. Sell to strangers. Be the entrepreneur you were pixel-born to be.
2. Sell at Night
Deals between midnight and 6 AM actually give more XP. It’s dangerous, sure. But the danger bonus is baked in. Just don’t get caught, because losing product and getting arrested wipes more than your inventory—it wipes your mood.
3. Make Stuff Yourself
Crafting, mixing, harvesting—all of it adds to your XP gain. Letting employees do these things helps efficiency, but it cuts into your rank gains. If you're pushing for a level-up, step into the lab and get your hands dirty.
4. Don’t Save Mid-Day
For reasons that feel very personal and cruel, the game sometimes ignores XP progress if you save and quit mid-day. If you're playing and want to keep your gains, always sleep to start a new day before exiting.
5. Quests, Customers, Exploration
Finish every quest you can find
Talk to every potential customer (even if they look like cops)
Visit new areas of the map to unlock locations and push progression
These little things won’t flood you with XP, but they add up over time. Plus, some of them unlock major content later.
Final Blurb
If you want to hit Hoodlum 5 and beyond, stop outsourcing everything and start doing the dirty work yourself. XP in Schedule 1 is all about momentum. Sell hard, work late, and whatever you do—don’t quit before bedtime.
