What Are Lab Keys
Lab Keys are rare collectibles with only six available in the entire game. They are scattered across specific levels, tied to Elite Squad fights, major bosses, and shop progression. Once you have all six, you can unlock a hidden room in the ENE Corp Laboratory and fight Shadow Master, the hardest enemy in the game.
All Lab Key Locations
Lab Key 1 – Fish Market
Hidden in a secret chest above moving crates. Requires platforming to reach a small divot.
Lab Key 2 – The Mountain
Earned by defeating all three Elite Squad groups in the level.
Lab Key 3 – ENE Corp Laboratory
Complete the level and defeat its boss, then explore the East Lab. Take the moving lift up and fight through plants and monsters to find a hidden chest.
Lab Key 4 – The Assault
From the Throne Room checkpoint, roll under the gap to the left, drop down, and complete a difficult platforming section to reach the chest.
Lab Key 5 – Ruse’s Limbo
Reward for defeating Lord Ruse, the game’s final boss. Earned after the credits roll.
Lab Key 6 – Shopkeeper Purchase
Collect all 55 Oboro Relics and turn them in to expand shop inventory. Purchase the final Lab Key for 10,000 Gold.
Tips for Collecting Lab Keys
Replay Levels – Some keys are locked behind Elite Squads or secrets that you may miss the first time. Replaying levels is required.
Finish the Story First – Two keys only unlock after late-game bosses, so you can’t get all six until after credits.
Turn in Relics Early – You’ll need every Oboro Relic to unlock the shop key, so start collecting them as soon as possible.
