Titan Quest 2 Masteries Guide

Titan Quest 2 Masteries Guide
Titan Quest II

Early in the game, you will find Shrines with large red crystals. Interact with these to choose your first mastery. Later, you can select a second mastery to complete your hybrid class.

You earn Divine Points while progressing through the game. These points are used to upgrade your masteries and unlock higher-tier skills. Completing quests, defeating bosses, and leveling up will grant more points.

How Masteries Work

Each mastery has its own skill tree made up of active skills (square icons) and passive skills (circle icons). Spending points unlocks these skills and their modifiers.

Skill Modifiers

Modifiers improve or change how a skill works. They can increase area of effect, reduce cooldowns, or even alter how damage is applied. You can swap modifiers at any time, so you are free to experiment.

Feats and Passive Bonuses

Investing points into passive sections of the tree unlocks feats at six and twelve points, giving special bonuses such as increased damage, cast speed, or elemental effects.

Available Masteries in Early Access

Earth

Uses fire and earth magic to deal heavy area damage. Known for abilities like Ring of Flame and Roaring Magma that can burn enemies over time.

Rogue

Focuses on stealth, poison, and critical strikes. Offers tools like Throwing Knives and Vanish for mobility and high single-target damage.

Storm

Harnesses ice and lightning to control the battlefield. Ice Shards and Storm Nimbus offer high damage and powerful crowd control.

Warfare

A melee-focused tree built for close-range combat and durability. Provides passive health regeneration and strong physical damage buffs.

More masteries will be added over time, with updates planned every three months.

Why Masteries Matter

Combining two masteries lets you create unique hybrid classes. For example:

  • Storm + Rogue creates a fast-moving critical caster like the Ice Shards Stormblade.

  • Earth + Warfare forms a tanky aura-based fighter like the Overload Flame Berserker.

This system supports endless experimentation and replayability.

Final Blurb

Titan Quest 2’s masteries give you control over how your character plays. By combining two different trees, you can create hybrids tailored to your style, from ranged spellcasters to tanky melee fighters. With skill modifiers and free respecs, experimenting with builds is quick and risk-free.
