Vampire Crawlers Amount Stat Explained

Vampire Crawlers Amount Stat Explained

Amount is one of the strongest stats in Vampire Crawlers because it directly increases how many projectiles your attacks fire. That gives many builds a double gain at the same time, more total hits and wider target coverage, which is why Amount can change how a run feels much faster than a lot of smaller damage boosts.

What Amount Does In Vampire Crawlers

Amount in Vampire Crawlers increases the number of projectiles fired by your attacks.

Every offensive red card fires a set number of projectiles. Most start at 1, while some AoE skills begin with more by default. When Amount goes up, those attacks fire more projectiles. That means more hits, more total damage, and more enemies being reached at once.

This is why Amount is such a high value stat. It is not just adding a small damage bonus onto the same hit. It is adding another projectile into the attack pattern itself.

How Amount Works In A Run

Amount changes what your offensive cards are actually doing on screen. A skill that fires once can start firing multiple projectiles. A skill that already throws out several hits can spread even wider. In actual play, that means packs get covered faster and attacks that used to hit only a few targets can start catching more enemies at the same time.

That extra coverage is a big part of the stat’s value. Amount is helping damage, but it is also helping reach. If a skill was limited by how many targets it could touch, raising Amount directly improves that.

Why Amount Is So Strong

Amount is especially strong on attacks that start with a limited projectile count and gain a lot from adding more. Holy Wand and La Borra are good examples because they benefit heavily from being able to target additional enemies once more projectiles are added.

That is where Amount separates itself from a plain damage increase. More projectiles can mean more total damage, but it can also mean better clearing because the skill is no longer stuck hitting only a small number of targets.

For builds built around projectile attacks, Amount is often one of the cleanest ways to scale both damage output and crowd control at the same time.

Amount Also Raises Damage In Practice

Amount does not just change targeting. It also raises damage in a very direct way because an added projectile means another hit from that attack.

The example with Celestial Dusting makes that clear. At 3 Amount, it starts with 360 damage. After playing Duplicator, Amount rises from 3 to 4, and the skill gains 60 more damage because an additional projectile is added. In that case, the stat increase is not abstract. The skill gets another projectile, and the damage total rises with it.

That is why Amount scales so well. The stat is improving the structure of the attack, not just nudging a number upward.

Best Time To Value Amount

Amount becomes especially valuable when the run already has strong offensive cards that can take advantage of more projectiles. The better the attack is at turning extra shots into extra hits, the more value Amount gives back.

It is also a stat that becomes easy to feel immediately. A lot of upgrades need time before they show their value. Amount usually does not. Once a projectile is added, the attack pattern changes right away.

Final Blurb

Amount in Vampire Crawlers increases the number of projectiles fired by your offensive cards. That means more hits, more damage, and better enemy coverage in the same upgrade. On skills that start with limited projectiles, Amount can be one of the biggest upgrades in the run because it improves both damage output and how many enemies the attack can reach.
