Wildgate: How to Get Ice

Wildgate: How to Heal Your Ship

Written by Andrew Hammel | Wildgate

You get ice in Wildgate by harvesting blue ice asteroids using your multitool. Ice is essential for healing your ship’s shields through the reactor.

How to Get Ice in Wildgate

Find Ice Asteroids

Look for blue-glowing asteroids floating in space. These contain ice and can be found throughout the Reach. They appear near POIs or scattered randomly while flying.

Use the Multitool

Equip your multitool and fly close to the asteroid. Hold the interact button to mine a chunk of ice. Return to your ship to deposit it into the Processor.

Store and Use Ice at the Reactor

Once the ice is stored, go to your Reactor and press the snowflake button to heal your ship’s shields. There is a cooldown, so time your heals between fights.

Final Blurb

Ice keeps your ship alive. Mine it early, store it often, and use it smart. Without it, your reactor won’t survive long.
