WoW Forever Mostly Dry Firewood Location

Mostly Dry Firewood is surprisingly difficult to spot in WoW Forever, even when you're standing inside the correct quest area. The Finding Warmth quest requires 14 pieces, but the logs blend into the snowy surroundings. Knowing their appearance and where they tend to spawn makes collecting them much easier.

Where to Find Mostly Dry Firewood in WoW Forever

To get Mostly Dry Firewood in WoW Forever, search for Fallen Logs lying on the ground in Dun Morogh. These appear as thick, pale logs or large white pieces of wood, usually near trees within the designated Finding Warmth quest area (specifically fallen trees).

One of the better locations to check is around 56.0, 53.0 in Dun Morogh, where several Fallen Logs can spawn close together. The western portion of the quest area, particularly around Steelgrill's Depot, is another worthwhile place to search.

Here's what to look for:

  • Appearance: Thick, pale or whitish logs lying horizontally on the snowy ground.
  • Location: Near trees throughout the designated quest area in Dun Morogh.
  • Recommended coordinates: 56.0, 53.0.
  • Alternative location: The western end of the quest area around Steelgrill's Depot.

The most important thing is to look at the ground rather than searching for ordinary trees or small branches. These Fallen Logs can blend into the snow, making them easy to overlook while running through the area.

Some Fallen Logs also contain two pieces of Mostly Dry Firewood instead of one, potentially reducing the number of logs you need to collect.

How to Complete Finding Warmth in WoW Forever

Finding Warmth is a level 8 Alliance quest given by Father Gavin in Dun Morogh, available starting at level 5. Your objective is to collect 14 pieces of Mostly Dry Firewood and return them to him.

I'd recommend starting your search around 56.0, 53.0, then checking the western side of the quest area if you aren't finding enough logs. Spawns can be sparse, particularly when other players are collecting the same firewood, and their respawn times may require some patience.

Once you've collected all 14 pieces, return to Father Gavin to complete Finding Warmth and receive 350 experience.

If you're struggling to locate the final few pieces, concentrate on identifying the pale Fallen Logs against the snow rather than repeatedly running past the same empty spots. They're much easier to miss than the quest description suggests.
