Arata is one of the new marriage candidates in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar. A martial artist who values training in nature, he lives in the mountains near Zephyr Town before eventually moving into the Sunnywood Hotel. Unlocking his heart events, completing his requests, and giving the right gifts are all key if you want to marry him.

How to Unlock Arata

Arata appears once your bazaar reaches Rank 2 (Village Bazaar), around Spring 9 of your first year. He arrives with Diana and Harold, carrying their luggage. At Rank 4 (City Bazaar), Arata moves into the Sunnywood Hotel.

Arata’s Schedule

Before Samir arrives, Arata trains and fishes in the mountain area during the day. On Fridays he visits the blue windmill, and on Saturdays he runs a stall at the bazaar.

After Samir arrives, Arata spends much of his time with him at the Sunnywood Hotel, though they still visit the mountains and town together. On festivals, he joins the townsfolk before returning to his usual routine.

Requirement: Bazaar Rank 2 or higher

After this event, he gives the request Teach a Man to Fish, where you must catch 10 fish. The reward is 10 Medium Fish Bait.

2-Heart Event

Requirement: Completed Teach a Man to Fish

After this, he asks for Howling Hunger, requesting 3 Poached Eggs (1-Star or higher). Reward is a Large Fish Pool for your stall.

4-Heart Event

Location: Mayor Felix’s house
Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday, Thursday, or Friday
Requirement: Seen his housing situation, Samir at 2 hearts or more
Request: The Big One, where Arata asks for a guardian fish. You need a Gold Fishing Rod or better and Guardian Bait helps. Reward is a Mellow Beehive Lamp.

6-Heart Event

Location: Mountain area
Time: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Requirement: Completed guardian fish request, Samir at 3 hearts or more
Request: Bring Arata 5 Cooked Rice.

Proposal

To marry Arata, give him a Blue Feather when he has 4 hearts or more. Requirements include owning the Double Bed and having Samir at 4 hearts.
