Your horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is much more than just a way to get from A to B—it’s your personal storage chest, your battle companion, and, when things go south, your emergency escape plan. But even the best horse can be improved with the right gear. Saddles, bridles, horseshoes, and armor all play a role in boosting speed, carrying capacity, stamina, and courage.

Here’s a list of the best horse gear/equipment in KCD2 and how you can obtain it.

Best Horse Gear in KCD2

1. Racing Horseshoes

  • Effect: +Speed boost

  • Why It’s Great: If you’d rather not stick around to see how many bandits just jumped you, these are your best bet. They make your horse as fast as possible.

  • Where to Get: Can be crafted at a blacksmithing station or found near a Saddler in Kuttenberg.

2. Quilted Caparison with Harness

  • Effect: +4 courage, +4 to 6 armor (various types), -40 capacity, -10 stamina, -4 speed

  • Why It’s Great: A light armor boost with a bit of courage, great if your horse keeps running away at the first sign of trouble.

  • Where to Get: Free inside a chest in Tachov or bought from Tailor Latsek in Kuttenberg.

3. Bravante Saddle

  • Effect: +180 carrying capacity, -4 speed

  • Why It’s Great: If you like to loot everything that isn’t nailed down, this saddle gives you a ton of extra storage without completely killing your horse’s speed.

  • Where to Get: Saddler in Kuttenberg.

4. Dragon Chanfron

  • Effect: +5 courage, +60 armor (Stab, Slash, Blunt), -5 speed

  • Why It’s Great: The ultimate horse helmet. Makes your horse fearless and tough but also slightly slower.

5. Bridle of the Holy Roman Empire

  • Effect: +18 stamina, +2 speed

  • Why It’s Great: Gives your horse better endurance for long rides and a small speed boost. Ideal if you’re constantly on the road.

  • Where to Get: Saddler near Kuttenberg’s western gate.

6. Tyrolian Chanfron

  • Effect: +4 courage, +48 armor (Stab, Slash, Blunt), -4 speed

  • Why It’s Great: A solid armor piece that makes your horse a bit braver but slows it down a touch. Great for keeping your horse alive in chaotic fights.

  • Where to Get: Master Nicholas Krondel in Kuttenberg City.

7. Dragon Saddle

  • Effect: +200 carrying capacity, -5 speed

  • Why It’s Great: The best saddle in the game if you want to carry everything short of an entire castle.

  • Where to Get: Saddler in Kuttenberg City.

8. Bridon Saddle

  • Effect: +160 carrying capacity, -4 speed

  • Why It’s Great: A good middle ground if you want extra storage but don’t want to slow your horse down too much.

  • Where to Get: Boyar Stoia of Mondra, a horse trader west of Kuttenberg.

9. Cracowian Saddle

  • Effect: +200 carrying capacity, -5 speed

  • Why It’s Great: Another top-tier saddle for anyone who treats their horse like a medieval shopping cart.

  • Where to Get: Saddler in Kuttenberg City.

Final Blurb

  • Want to outrun trouble? Racing Horseshoes + Bridle of the Holy Roman Empire.

  • Want to keep your horse in a fight? Dragon Chanfron + Tyrolian Chanfron.

  • Need a pack mule? Dragon Saddle + Cracowian Saddle.

Pick your gear wisely, because a well-equipped horse is the difference between a smooth ride and a long walk back to town.
