Canker is a task in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 given by Gules in Semine. It’s part of a four-quest chain, but you can only tackle it if you’ve finished The Jaunt before heading to the wedding in Wedding Crashers. Also, if you joined the raid on Semine during Necessary Evil, then congratulations—you’ve already locked yourself out of this one.

Starting the Quest

Gules, who wanders around Semine, is looking for help dealing with some former bandit buddies. The first target? A charming fellow named Canker.

Once you chat with Gules, he’ll mark Canker’s hideout on your map—just north of Nebakov Mill. Getting there is half the battle, literally, because some bandits might try to ambush you on the way. If they do, either fight them off or pretend you didn’t see them and keep walking (your call).

Finding Canker

Follow the river north until you see a gap in the rocks. That’s where Canker and his bandit crew are hiding.

You’re up against five enemies, but there’s good news: if you kill four, the last one might decide he has better things to do and run away. Just hope it’s not Canker himself, or you’ll have to chase him down.

How to Win the Fight

  • If you have a bow, take out one or two from a distance. You probably won’t, but hey, worth a shot.

  • Prioritize unarmored enemies first. They drop faster and won’t be an issue later.

  • Deal with archers quickly unless you enjoy arrows sticking out of your back.

  • Keep all enemies in front of you—nobody likes surprise stabbings.

  • Use Mutt to harass a couple of enemies and make life easier.

  • Don’t bother with fancy combos if multiple enemies are on you. Land a hit or two, then back off. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Finishing the Job

Once you’ve wiped out the camp, loot Canker’s body and grab his Light Mace. Take it back to Gules. He’ll either let you keep it or give you some Groschen instead. Either way, quest complete.

Another bandit down, more trouble ahead.
