Big Walk Trophy Guide
Big Walk has 12 achievements tied to its puzzles, transportation systems, equipment, exploration, and two different endings. The PS5 version adds the Big Trophy Platinum after you unlock everything else, bringing its total to 13 trophies.
The list is fairly small, but some of the descriptions hide a much bigger requirement than they initially suggest. Riding the train, for example, first requires completing the Blue Tower and activating the railway, while “completely finish the game” means solving every puzzle rather than simply reaching the first ending.
I think the trophy list makes more sense when you stop looking at it as 12 separate jobs. Most of it comes from progressing through the same island-wide puzzle chain, while Big Pack, Big Help, Big Climb, and Big Makeover are side objectives that require a little more attention along the way.

Big Walk Trophy and Achievement Overview
There are 12 regular achievements in Big Walk. PlayStation players also receive Big Trophy for earning the other 12, meaning the PS5 list contains one Platinum, 10 Gold trophies, and two Silver trophies.
The list breaks into four general groups:
- Island progression: Big Walk, Big View, Big Tunnel, Big Ride, Big Sit, and Big Wall.
- Equipment: Big Pack and Big Help.
- Optional exploration: Big Climb and Big Makeover.
- Endings: Big Goodbye and Big Game.
Most progression trophies are connected to opening another part of the island or activating a transportation system. The achievement does not always unlock when the system itself becomes available, though. You generally need to cross, enter, visit, or ride the thing named in the description.
This distinction matters more in multiplayer because one person may complete the key or activate the machinery while another player is somewhere else entirely. Each person working toward the achievement should interact with the unlocked feature rather than assuming the whole session received credit.
How to Approach Every Big Walk Trophy
You do not need to follow one strict route through the colored towers, but I would keep the trophy requirements in mind as the group spreads across the island.
During the opening area, complete the drawbridge objective and watch for backpacks or hip equipment once the larger map becomes available. After that, work through the four colored towers and make sure everyone uses the system attached to each one.
The four tower unlocks are:
- Red Tower: Opens access to the map for Big View.
- Yellow Tower: Opens the tunnel network for Big Tunnel.
- Blue Tower: Activates the trains for Big Ride.
- Green Tower: Activates the chairlift for Big Sit.
Big Climb and Big Makeover do not sit directly in that normal progression chain, so those are the two I would actively remember rather than hoping they happen by accident. Big Makeover becomes available through the tunnel system, while Big Climb requires reaching the actual highest point of the island.
With that said, reaching the first ending still does not mean the achievement run is finished. The final Big Game requirement opens another set of puzzles and also expects every earlier challenge to be complete.
How to Unlock Big Walk
Big Walk requires crossing the red drawbridge that separates the opening area from the rest of the island.
Complete the introductory puzzles and place their red rewards into the available slots near the bridge. Once every required reward has been submitted, the game gives your group a key.
The key is not finished when you first receive it. Take it through the nearby red cutting machines, using the directional marker on each cutter to find the next part of the route. Insert the completed key into the drawbridge controls and wait for the bridge to lower.
Walk across it to unlock Big Walk. Simply opening the bridge may not be enough when your character never actually crosses to the other side.
This is essentially the end of the introduction and the point where Big Walk opens into the much larger cooperative puzzle game the trophy list is built around.
How to Unlock Big Pack and Big Help
Big Pack and Big Help are both tied to wearable storage equipment.
- Big Pack: Wear a backpack.
- Big Help: Wear something on your hip.
Backpacks can be found inside blue circular buildings placed around the island. The first one can be found around the Red Tower region, although there are additional backpack locations for larger groups.
The important part is that you cannot normally place the backpack on yourself. Another player must pick it up and attach it to the interaction point on your back.
The backpack is useful beyond the trophy because it gives your character another place to carry an object. However, you also need another player to remove the stored item from your back, which makes communication more important than simply equipping everyone and running in different directions.
Big Help works in much the same way, except the item is worn around the hip. A belt can carry communication equipment such as a walkie-talkie or radio, and another player must equip it for you.
When several people need the achievements, pass the equipment around before deciding who will keep it. Otherwise, one person may end up wearing every useful item while the rest of the group has already left the area without receiving either achievement.
Big View, Big Tunnel, Big Ride, and Big Sit
Four achievements are connected directly to the colored towers. Each tower follows a similar pattern: complete enough island puzzles to gather five red rewards, submit them at the top, take the resulting key through a chain of cutters, and use the finished key on the related structure.
The towers can be completed in different orders, and there is not one choice that is automatically correct for every group. The map helps track progress, the tunnels create direct routes between major areas, and the train and chairlift make certain long journeys less annoying.
Big View
Complete the Red Tower and use its key to open the map area. Enter the map room and view the island display to unlock Big View.
The map becomes more useful as the game progresses because it helps your group see which puzzles have already been finished and which areas still need attention. I would not ignore it until the very end, as trying to remember every puzzle your group completed several hours earlier can become a mess.
Big Tunnel
Complete the Yellow Tower, cut its key, and use it to open the large yellow tunnel entrance on the mountain. Enter the tunnel after it opens to unlock Big Tunnel.
The tunnel network connects the different tower regions through color-coded routes. Bring a flashlight because the tunnels are extremely dark, and they are large enough that a group can still become separated even though the system is supposed to make travel easier.
Big Ride
Complete the Blue Tower and carry its key through the cutting route before inserting it inside the railway control building. The trains around the island begin moving once the control is activated.
You then need to board a train for Big Ride. Our Big Walk train and Big Ride guide explains the Blue Tower route, key cutters, stations, schedules, and controls in more detail.
Make sure each person physically boards a train. One player activating the railway does not mean everyone else has actually ridden it.
Big Sit
Complete the Green Tower and use its finished key to activate the chairlift. Sit on one of the moving chairs to unlock Big Sit.
The chairlift continues moving between its endpoints once it has been activated. This makes it useful for reaching elevated sections of the island, but the achievement itself only requires taking a seat.
How to Unlock Big Climb
Big Climb requires reaching the highest point on the island. This is not automatically awarded for climbing one of the normal colored towers, even though several of them already feel fairly high compared with the surrounding landscape.
You need to deliberately reach the true summit and stand on the highest accessible point. Because this sits away from the required tower progression, it is easy for a group to finish most of the game without ever triggering it.
I would handle Big Climb after unlocking some of the island’s transportation systems, as returning from a failed route or regrouping after someone falls becomes much less frustrating.
Every person seeking the trophy should reach the summit themselves. Standing on a nearby ledge while another player climbs the final section may not register.
How to Unlock Big Makeover
Big Makeover requires getting shiny, which means applying one of the hidden metallic paint colors to your character.
The shiny paint station is inside a secret part of the tunnel network, so your group must first complete the Yellow Tower and unlock Big Tunnel. The route eventually leads to a hidden painting area containing a brush and three metallic colors.
As with the normal color station near the beginning, you cannot paint yourself. Another player needs to select one of the shiny colors and apply it to one of your three body sections.
Only one section needs metallic paint for the achievement. You do not need to recolor the full character.
Our Big Walk color guide explains how the paintbrush works, why another player controls your colors, and how each body section is changed separately.
Big Makeover is not required to reach either ending, which is exactly why it can be overlooked during a normal playthrough.
Big Wall, Big Goodbye, and Big Game
The last three progression achievements are related, but they represent different points in the game.
Big Wall
Complete the colored tower progression and continue into the Black Tower objective. Once the related key has been finished, use it to open the wall and travel through the new path.
Big Wall unlocks when you go beyond the barrier, not simply when the door or passage becomes available.
Big Goodbye
Continue beyond the wall and follow the route toward the large black sphere in the distance. Complete the remaining required objectives there to reach the first ending and unlock Big Goodbye.
You do not need every puzzle on the island for this ending. Big Walk gives you more puzzle rewards than the normal progression requires, which allows a group to finish while still leaving challenges behind.
Big Game
Big Game is the actual 100% completion achievement. After the first ending, seven purple puzzles appear around the island, and every original puzzle you skipped must also be completed.
To unlock Big Game, your group needs to:
- Complete every original island puzzle.
- Finish all seven purple endgame puzzles.
- Collect and submit the remaining rewards.
- Obtain the final key.
- Return to the secret room near the starting area.
- Complete the route to the full ending.
The purple puzzles are harder variations of challenges your group has already seen. In reality, the bigger difficulty may be returning to an old puzzle and remembering what your friends were trying to communicate the first time.
Big Goodbye therefore means you reached an ending, while Big Game means there is nothing left unfinished.

Final Big Walk Platinum Checklist
Before expecting Big Trophy or 100% completion, make sure each player has personally completed the interaction tied to every trophy.
- Cross the opening drawbridge.
- Visit the map room.
- Enter the unlocked tunnel network.
- Board a moving train.
- Sit on the chairlift.
- Wear a backpack.
- Wear a belt or another hip item.
- Reach the island’s highest point.
- Have metallic paint applied to your character.
- Travel beyond the wall.
- Reach the first ending.
- Complete every original and purple puzzle for the full ending.
The trophy run is less about performing obscure challenges and more about making sure nobody misses an interaction while the group progresses. Big Walk encourages everyone to scatter, carry different objects, and solve separate parts of a problem, but that can also mean one player never actually rides the train or enters the map room after helping unlock it.
Keep Big Climb and Big Makeover in mind, make sure everyone uses each tower reward, and do not confuse the first ending with full completion. Once every puzzle and personal interaction is accounted for, Big Trophy should follow without requiring another complete run through the island.
