Blue Prince: Shelter Room Guide

The Shelter is an Outer Room you can build to give yourself a little breathing room—literally. Red Rooms are known for their curses, tax traps, and other joy-stealing surprises, but this room lets you skip the pain… for a while.

What the Shelter Does
The Shelter shields you from Red Room effects—three times, to be exact.
Blocks negative effects from the next 3 Red Rooms you draft
Costs: 1 Gem to draft
Can be drafted only once the West Gate is open
This includes skipping stuff like losing Coins in the Chapel, losing Steps in the Gymnasium or Weight Room, and any other little curses tied to Red Room entries.
Bonus Details
Includes a Terminal, so it’s one of the few Outer Rooms that lets you upgrade Floorplans without venturing far
No Gem cost to use the Terminal—unlike Office or Security
If you’re planning a run heavy on Red Rooms, Shelter is basically insurance
Pairs well with Upgrade Disks if you're hoping to snag one from the Garage, Office, or Foundation
When to Use It
You’ve got a tough day ahead and you’re forced to draft some Red Rooms
You’re hoarding Coins or Steps and don’t want a room like the Chapel or Furnace ruining your plans
You need a Terminal but don’t want to spend a Gem to use one

Final Blurb
The Shelter doesn’t look like much, but it’s one of the smartest Outer Rooms in Blue Prince. Think of it as your emotional support room. It won’t give you hugs, but it will stop the house from robbing you blind—at least three times.
