Crashlands 2: Best Weapons

Crashlands 2 doesn’t waste time. You crash, you craft, and next thing you know, you’re punching a space beast in the face with electric knuckles. The weapon system is deeper this time around, and instead of just swinging hammers and swords like it’s 2016, you’ve got gadgets, spears, throwables, and more.

Below are the best weapon types in the game and why you might want to keep one in your weird little space-hands.

Spear

Spears are thrown, not swung. They cost a little more to maintain—since you lose one every time you hurl it—but they deal solid damage from a distance. Pair spears with the Slinger gear set to unlock buffs like Thrift, which gives you a chance to get your spears back. If you’re tired of being slapped while trying to slap, spears are a great pick.

Dagger

Daggers are your day-one weapon. They hit fast, let you zip around enemies, and make early exploration feel smooth. You’ll find better ones as you craft your way up, but even the starter dagger gets the job done. It doesn’t have the gimmicks, but sometimes being basic just means being reliable.

Crusher

Crushers are the spiritual successor to hammers. They hit like a truck but swing like you’ve just woken up from a nap. These are best for slow, heavy combat—land one clean hit, dodge out, then repeat. One early option, the Void Maw, does huge crushing damage, but don’t expect to spam it.

Gadget

Gadgets are kind of all over the place. Some give buffs, others attack, and a few are just…funny. The Molten Cesta is a standout—it lobs fireballs and causes burn damage, but comes with a long cooldown. Gadgets work best when used as secondary weapons or for specific strategies. Bonus points if you’re into goofy combat sounds.

Knuckles

Knuckles force you to fight close, and I mean close. You’ll need tight movement and good dodges, but the reward is fast, chain-hit damage. The Fuzz Knuckles are an early fan favorite, dealing both electric and crushing damage. If you like living dangerously and punching monsters in the jaw, these are for you.

Throwable

You’ll find throwables like Creepthistles early on. They don’t do much damage but can help you finish off a target from a distance. Realistically, though, they’re better used in crafting spears. Expect more powerful throwables later, but for now, treat them like ammo ingredients with attitude.

Final Blurb

Crashlands 2 gives you way more control over how you fight. Ifyou wanna go full ninja with daggers, build a grenade-spewing gadget loadout, or throw junk at aliens, there’s something for for you here in this game. Just remember: the best weapon is the one you don’t miss with.
