HoH2 Combos Guide: Unlock and Use Combos in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2

Combos are a powerful mechanic in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2, but unlocking and switching them on can be a bit confusing at first. Here’s a simple guide to help you master combos without losing your sanity (or your patience).

Step 1: Unlock Combos

Before you can start busting out combos, you’ll need to do a little legwork—literally. Each character has to defeat the Totem Boss to unlock their combo ability. Yep, no shortcuts here. Defeat the boss, and the combo feature will activate for that specific character.

Step 2: Visit the Librarian

Once your character’s combo ability is unlocked, head back to town and pay the Librarian a visit. They’re not just there to collect overdue book fees—they’ll help you switch and customize your combos.

Step 3: Check Your Combo Effects

After setting up your combo, you can check its effects in your character’s skill info. It’s the last empty icon on the right. Think of it as the cherry on top of your ability sundae.

How Combos Work

By default, combos are triggered after you rack up a certain number of kills. The more enemies you take down, the faster your combo bar fills. Once it’s ready, unleash your combo for some serious damage.

Quick Tips

  • Kill, Kill, Kill: The key to combos is defeating enemies. The more you mow down, the quicker you’ll activate it.

  • Defeat That Totem Boss: No Totem Boss defeat = no combos. So don’t skip this step.

  • Experiment: Try different combos to see what works best for your playstyle.

And that’s it! Unlock your combo, talk to the Librarian, and start smashing through enemies like it’s nobody’s business. Now go show those mobs who’s boss—with style.
