Is There Auto Ride to Markers or Objectives?
No, not like in Odyssey or Valhalla.
In those games, your horse could automatically travel to quest markers or waypoints with the push of a button. In Shadows, that feature is gone at launch. Sad, we know.
What You Can Do – Auto Movement On Roads
You can enable a kind of auto-run mode that follows roads in the direction you're facing. It doesn’t go to specific markers, but it saves your thumb from holding forward for 10 minutes straight.
Here’s how to set it up:

Go to Settings > Controls > Auto Movement
Set Auto Movement = ON
While riding your horse, double-tap A (Xbox controller) or the equivalent on your platform.
Your horse will auto-follow the road in the direction you're facing.
Does It Work Well?
Eh… sort of. The horse will follow roads, but it doesn’t navigate to quest markers or avoid obstacles perfectly. It’s like cruise control for your horse, not a full GPS.
Also, if you try to steer manually, auto-run turns off instantly. So either enjoy the ride or take the reins—no in-between.
