Where to Find and Assassinate Ember – AC Shadows Guide

Ember is one of eight targets in The Kabukimono side quest during AC Shadows. Compared to some of the other Kabukimono, Ember is fairly easy to find and can be taken out with a bit of stealth—or with a well-timed explosion if you're feeling spicy.

Where to Start the Kabukimono Quest
Before hunting Ember, you’ll need to unlock The Kabukimono quest:
Location: Amagasaki, in the Izumi Settsu region.
Head east of Nishinomiya Shrine to find the quest-giver with the Kabukimono side quest.
Accept it, and Ember will be added to your hit list.
Where to Find Ember
Region: Southwestern Osaka, near burnt buildings.
Fast Travel Point: Start at Osaka Kakurega (a safehouse in the city).
From there, head directly west.
You’ll come across charred buildings just before reaching the water’s edge. Ember and his Ronin bodyguard are hanging out in this spot, likely plotting something villainous and unnecessary.
How to Assassinate Ember Easily
Good news—you don’t need to fight fair here.
Near Ember, you’ll spot a cart loaded with explosive barrels.
Lure Ember and his Ronin near the cart (use a whistle or cause a distraction).
Once they’re close, throw a Kunai (or shoot) at the barrels.
Boom. Instant kill for Ember and his Ronin. No sword fight needed.
If things go loud, Ember only has a few health bars, but his Ronin can be aggressive. Use smoke bombs or stealth takedowns if you prefer a cleaner approach.
You can also wait on top of a nearby house, and when he walks close jump down from above and assassinate him from behind.

Ember’s name might sound cool, but his death is even cooler—especially when it involves explosions and no effort. Either way if you go stealth or fireworks, he’s one of the easier Kabukimono to wipe out in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. One target down, seven to go.
