How to Beat the Overseer (Robot Boss): Split Fiction Guide

The Overseer is a massive robotic turtle boss in Split Fiction. Beating it requires teamwork, quick reflexes, and good aim. The fight has three phases, and each one brings new mechanics. Here’s how to take it down.

Phase One: Dodging & Destroying Drones

  • Slime Shot – The Overseer spits green slime. Dodge it.

  • Bouncing Spiky Egg – It throws an egg-like device that bounces off walls.

    • First time: Unshielded, shoot it down.

    • Later: Shielded (Red or Blue). Match the color to your character’s weapon to break it.

    • Pro tip: Stay on the opposite side of the room for more shooting time.

  • Shielded Drones – Two drones (one red, one blue) fly around. While they’re active, the Overseer is invincible.

    • Mio destroys red, Zoe takes out blue.

Once the Overseer loses one-third of its health, it floods the area with acid, starting Phase Two.

Phase Two: Acid Flood & Climbing

  • The floor is lava (but worse) – Stay on the rising platforms.

  • Portals Appear

    • Mio enters red portals.

    • Zoe enters blue portals.

  • Barrier Blocks – Your partner must shoot the matching color to clear the way.

  • No damage phase – Don’t bother attacking the boss, just focus on climbing.

After reaching the top, the camera switches to the Overseer’s perspective.

  • Fire Spitters drop (red & blue) – Shoot your matching color to disable them.

  • Pick up the disabled spitters and throw them at the Overseer.

  • Keep throwing fire spitters until the boss is down to half HP.

Now, get ready for Phase Three.

Phase Three: Chase & Escape

  • Side-scrolling chase – The Overseer fires color-coded missiles that block your path.

    • One player shoots the missiles (matching their color).

    • The other focuses on damaging the boss.

  • Curve in the path – The camera switches to third-person running.

    • The Overseer fires lasers and drops rolling pipes.

    • Double jump over pipes at the last second.

    • Avoid unnecessary movement to stay on rhythm.

Eventually, the final area appears:

  • Fire Rings – The Overseer slams the ground and releases fire rings.

    • Jump to avoid damage.

  • Shoot the Cogs –

    • Red cog (left) – Mio

    • Blue cog (right) – Zoe

    • Shooting closes the exit door on the Overseer.

The boss tries to break free, dropping debris while firing eye lasers.

  • Stay at the edges of the arena to avoid the laser.

  • Keep shooting the cogs while dodging debris.

  • Eventually, the door crushes the Overseer’s head, ending the fight.

Final Blurb

That’s it! The Overseer is down, and you can move forward in Split Fiction. Just stay coordinated, focus on teamwork, and keep moving. Now, onto the next boss!
