Marigold Decoction is a healing potion in KCD2 that gradually restores health and cures hangovers. It’s one of the most useful potions to keep on hand. Here’s how to get, find, and make it.

Where to Get Marigold Decoction

  • You can buy the recipe or brew it without one if you already know how.

  • Buy the recipe from Herbalist Barnaby (north of Trotsky) or apothecaries in Troskowitz, Kuttenberg, or Pschitoky.

  • Buy the potion pre-made from most apothecaries or herbalists.

How to Make Marigold Decoction

Ingredients:

  • Water (base)

  • 1 Nettle

  • 2 Marigold

Brewing Steps:

  1. Add water to the cauldron.

  2. Boil the Nettle for two turns of the hourglass.

  3. Grind the Marigold in the mortar and pestle.

  4. Add the ground Marigold to the cauldron.

  5. Pour the potion into a phial.

Potion Effects Based on Quality

  • Weak: Heals 15 health over one minute, makes hangovers pass 50% faster.

  • Standard: Heals 25 health over one minute, makes hangovers pass 100% faster.

  • Strong: Heals 40 health over one minute, instantly cures hangovers.

  • Henry’s: Heals 60 health over one minute, instantly cures hangovers.

The healing effect is gradual, so it won’t save you in the middle of a fight, but it is useful for recovering after battle.

Where to Find Ingredients

Marigold Locations:

  • Found in many areas across Bohemia.

  • A large supply is in a garden south of the trader in Troskowitz.

  • No one will stop you from picking Marigold, so you can gather as much as you want.

Nettle Locations:

  • Common near woods and riverbanks.

  • Southeast of Troskowitz along the river has a large patch.

  • Grows near small streams and water sources.

Final Tips

  • Always carry a few Marigold Decoctions for quick healing.

  • Gather extra ingredients whenever you find them to keep a steady supply.

  • Use the highest-quality version for the best effects.

  • Since healing is gradual, drink it after fights rather than during combat.

Marigold Decoction is one of the easiest potions to make and is essential for staying alive in KCD2.
