Water is one of those things you won’t think about until your screen turns blue and your character starts wheezing. Here’s how to turn dirty lake sludge into fresh, drinkable hydration in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

Step 1: Collect Dirty Water

  • Walk up to any lake or pond.

  • Stand close to the edge and press E to collect dirty water.

  • It’ll go straight into your inventory.

No buckets needed, no spellcasting required. Just vibes and your bare hands, apparently.

Step 2: Build a Fire Pit

Now you need to boil it. Head back to your base and do the following:

  • Open your Crafting Menu.

  • Find and build a Fire Pit. (It’s in the crafting section—not the building tab.)

  • Place it somewhere with room to stand around. Ghosts might judge your interior design, but the fire pit won’t.

Step 3: Boil Your Water

  • Interact with the fire pit.

  • Add some logs to fuel the fire.

  • Add your dirty water into the cooking slot.

  • Hit Start and wait a moment.

Your reward? Clean water, ready to drink.

Step 4: Drink That Water!

  • Move the clean water to your hotbar.

  • Select it and press your hotkey to sip.

  • Stay hydrated and pretend you didn’t just drink something that came from a haunted swamp.

Final Blurb

Getting clean water in Dragonwilds is easy once you know how—but forget for too long and you’ll be parched, panicked, and probably eaten by something while dehydrated. Grab it from a lake, boil it at camp, and keep a few in your pocket. You never know when the next dragon-induced forest fire will interrupt your picnic.
