The Ill Repute side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has you helping Betty, the owner of the Kingfisher Bathhouse, secure the title of Municipal Bathhouse. Her rival, Adam, is bribing a city councillor to win the vote, so you’ll need to use a mix of sabotage, persuasion, and even dueling to ensure Betty comes out on top.
How to Start the Quest
Complete the A Good Scrub side quest first.
After a few in-game days, return to Betty at the Kingfisher Bathhouse in Kuttenberg City to start Ill Repute.
Helping Betty Win the Title
Your goal is to undermine Councillor Naaz and gain support from Councillor Tuchmacher. You can do this in several ways:
Step 1: Gather Information on Councillor Naaz
Talk to the bathhouse workers at the City Bathhouse in the southwest of Kuttenberg.
Speak to Meaty Mary to learn how to sabotage Naaz.
Optional:
Lousy Mary offers a drink and a free bath.
Katcha mentions an incident with fleas.
Lida will share info if you bring her a dress from the Tailor north of the bathhouse.
Step 2: Sabotage Councillor Naaz (Optional, but recommended)
For the best outcome, complete as many of these as possible:
Spike his wine with Chamomile Brew
Purchase Chamomile Brew from the Apothecary north of the bathhouse.
Go to the second floor of the City Bathhouse and pour it into the wine cask.
Infest his laundry with fleas
Find a Flea-ridden blanket in a sack near the beggars’ tents east of the Kuttenberg Town Hall.
Pour the fleas into either the laundry chest or clean laundry basket in the bathhouse's second floor.
Steal the fragrant oil used in his bath
Sneak to the third floor of the bathhouse (watch for guards).
Find a wooden cabinet and steal the Foreign Fragrant Oil.
Return to Betty at the Kingfisher to report your mischief.
Step 3: Gain Councillor Tuchmacher’s Support
Find Tuchmacher at his tailor shop near the Town Hall fast travel point.
When prompted, don’t mention Betty, just agree to help him.
He’ll ask you to fight a duel on his behalf.
Step 4: Win the Duel
The duel takes place in the morning (you can wait with Tuchmacher).
Rules for the fight:
No plate armor (you can still wear clothes).
Only a flail or hunting sword (unequip all other weapons).
Tips for fighting Jan:
He uses a longsword, but isn’t very strong.
Block his first attack, dodge his counter, then strike.
Aim for his head—a few hits will make him surrender.
Speak to Tuchmacher after the duel to confirm your victory.
Step 5: Wait for the Council’s Decision
Wait 3-4 in-game days for the vote.
You’ll receive a quest update when it’s time to return to Betty.
Step 6: Return to Betty
Go back to Kingfisher Bathhouse to hear the results.
If everything went well, Betty will win the title of Municipal Bathhouse, and you’ll get free bathhouse services permanently at the Kingfisher.
