So, you’re wandering around Miskowitz, minding your own business, when the local blacksmith’s wife, Martha, decides you’d make a fine delivery boy. Of course, like everything in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, this simple errand quickly spirals into a tangled web of missing people, bad life choices, and a horse-cartload of trouble.

But fear not—We’re here to help with a walkthrough of Hush, My Darling…, so you can get back to whatever questionable medieval activities you were up to before this.

Step 1: Be a Good Blacksmith (Or Buy Your Way Out of It)

Martha needs two sets of horseshoes. Now, you’ve got two options:

  • Actually make them. There’s a blacksmithing station nearby. If you’re the hands-on type, go ahead and forge them yourself.

  • Be lazy and buy them. You can purchase the materials and blueprints if you’d rather throw money at the problem.

Once you have two sets, trot back to Martha and hand them over. Simple, right? Haha. No.

Step 2: Deliver the Horseshoes to Victoria

Your next task is to drop off the horseshoes at Victoria’s house, which is directly south of the smithy. You knock, you wait… no answer. Fine, just barge in like you own the place.

Step 3: Break and Enter (For a Good Cause, Obviously)

Once inside, you’ll notice a lovely red stain on the floor by the bed. Blood? Tomato soup? Either way, Victoria’s missing, and this just became your problem.

Step 4: Report Back to Martha

Tell Martha what you found. She suggests asking around Sigismund’s camp for information. If you pass a speech check, she’ll also point you to a farmer who had a thing for Victoria. Let’s harass him first.

Step 5 (Optional): Annoy the Farmer

The farmer’s house is north of the smithy. He acts suspicious, so naturally, you can insult him until he gets mad and fights you. Win the brawl, and he’ll admit… he knows absolutely nothing. Well, that was productive.

Guess it’s time to visit Sigismund’s camp after all.

Step 6: Ask Around at Sigismund’s Camp

Head into Sigismund’s camp and start poking around. Eventually, someone will point you to the blacksmith in the middle of camp, who tells you about a soldier named Black—Victoria’s usual rendezvous.

Step 7: Meet the Soldier (Who is Not Doing Well)

Black is in the infirmary, looking rough. Turns out he ate some poisonous mushrooms—great life choices all around. You now have to treat him before he’ll talk.

  • If you have a Digestive Potion, give it to him.

  • If not, either buy or brew one before continuing.

Once he’s cured, he spills the beans. Victoria used to meet him in the forest, and you should check there.

Step 8: Locate Victoria

You’ll now get a marked location in the forest. Head over and—lo and behold—there’s Victoria, just chilling on a stump, probably wondering why it took you so long to find her.

At this point, you can just talk to her and finish the quest…

BUT WAIT! If you’re after the Henry the Matchmaker trophy, there’s an extra step.

Step 9 (Optional, Trophy Route): Kidnap Black & Play Matchmaker

"Stealth missions in heavy armor? What could go wrong?"

To reunite Victoria and Black for that sweet, sweet achievement, you’ll need to carry Black out of the camp—a task complicated by the fact that people generally don’t like it when you knock out and drag their soldiers away.

How to Sneak Out With Black (Or: The Art of Not Getting Stabbed)

  1. Wait until nightfall. Guards are sleepier, which works in your favor.

  2. Stealth kill a few guards near the west gate (if you’re feeling violent).

  3. Knock out Black while he’s lying in the infirmary. Make sure no one sees, or you’ll have a very bad time.

  4. Carry him out using a carefully planned route to avoid alerting other guards.

  5. Walk him all the way to Victoria. Slowly. Painfully. No, you can’t put him on a horse.

Once you plop Black down near Victoria, they’ll have a heartfelt reunion (or something close to it), and you’ll unlock Henry the Matchmaker.

Step 10: Wrap It Up

If you didn’t go through all that trouble, you can just finish the quest by talking to Victoria, choosing any option you want. No rewards either way, but at least you solved the mystery.

Final Thoughts

  • If you just want to finish the quest, follow the normal steps and skip the whole "steal a soldier" thing.

  • If you’re a completionist, knock out some guards and carry Black through the woods like a medieval Uber driver.

  • Either way, this quest rewards you with absolutely nothing but the satisfaction of a job well done.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully played detective, doctor, and medieval UPS worker. Now go enjoy your hard-earned 60 Groschen—try not to spend it all in one place.
