Mage Arena Monsters, Enemies, & NPCs Guide (Steam Game)
Mage Arena has a mix of hostile and neutral creatures. Some are threats, some are useful, and some are just there to add life to the world. Here is every known monster/enemy NPC within the game thus far.
Giant Toad
Found in the frog bog. This creature hides in the water and can one-shot you if it grabs you with its tongue. Attacking it can make it retreat underwater.
Use the levitator to carry an enemy wizard over to it and watch the fun commence.
Hooded Wizards
These guys aren’t other players, but can use all of the same spells that you do, and also carry around knives.
Gnome
Located in the gnome forest. These are neutral and can be traded with. Killing one causes nearby gnomes to panic but they do not fight back.
Gnome Carrier
Appears once a resource area is claimed. These neutral gnomes transport resources from the captured zone to your castle gate. Killing one drops what it is carrying, but it will vanish immediately.
Knight
While not a monster we thound in the cemetery. This neutral NPC tells you about Excalibur when spoken to and then quickly dies afterward.
Lich
Located in the cemetery and mausoleum. This skeleton mage attacks on sight, casting white fireballs. It can open and close doors and is more dangerous than normal skeletons.
Raven
Found across the map. These decorative birds scatter when approached but cannot be killed and have no gameplay function.
Red Wizard
Seen in the fire castle mostly. These respawnable hostile casters use Fireball, Magic Missile, Freeze, and Wisp. They are fragile but still dangerous because of their spell power.
Skeleton
Located in the cemetery and mausoleum. Starts asleep and wakes up to chase players. Weak but persistent, continuing to move even if limbs are knocked off.
Final Blurb
Enemies in Mage Arena range from harmless NPCs to powerful one-shot threats like the big ol’ toad. Understanding where each enemy spawns and how they behave can help you stay alive and focus on objectives instead of being surprised.
