Brandrgarde has the highest reported cipher frequency of the two current maps according to the supplied information. Hallowgrove can still produce them, particularly around the Einherjar Ship Grave, Supreme Hall, Divine Anchor, and nearby groups of harpies and abominations.

The safest farming strategy is to prioritize the number of ciphers successfully brought back to camp, not the theoretical number of containers opened per expedition.

Choose a manageable Gyldening Intensity, bring equipment you can afford to lose, and follow a route containing several locked chests or marked-enemy encounters. Once a cipher appears, shorten the run and begin moving toward extraction.

There is no confirmed requirement to enter Chaos or Cataclysm for Ashen Cipher drops. A higher difficulty may offer better general loot, but it also increases the danger of losing the cipher before it reaches camp.

Pip’s Rare Pouch Voucher is especially useful during cipher farming because it temporarily expands the number of protected items you can carry. Place the cipher in a Safe Pocket as soon as possible rather than risking it alongside ordinary loot.
