Neon Abyss 2 Crossplay Info
Written by Andrew Hammel | Neon Abyss 2
Neon Abyss 2 does not currently support cross-play or cross-save. These features have not been confirmed by the developers for either Early Access or the upcoming console release.
Current Cross-Platform Status
Neon Abyss 2 is only available on Steam during Early Access. All online co-op play takes place on PC. There is no mention of console-to-PC cross-play or any kind of platform linking.
The developers have confirmed a full console launch after the Early Access period ends. However, they have not shared any plans for connecting progress or multiplayer across PC and console platforms.
There is no cross-save support in the demo or Early Access build. Your progress is tied to your local Steam account. If you play on a different device or platform, you will have to start a new save.
What Could Happen Later
Because the game will launch on multiple platforms after 1.0, cross-play could be added later. Many indie roguelikes launch first without it and add support later after player feedback. But at this time, nothing official has been stated about it.
Until a public update or feature list confirms cross-platform support, it should be considered unavailable.
Final Blurb
Neon Abyss 2 does not support cross-play or cross-save in its current form. The developers have not confirmed any future plans for these features. Only Steam accounts can access online co-op during Early Access.
