Nice Nature Build Guide | Uma Musume Pretty Derby
Written by Priya Kapoor
Nice Nature is a Medium-distance Late-runner who can sweep races with her unique skill in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, but she needs careful planning to get there. Her special activates when she enters the final corner in 3rd or lower, so your whole build should focus on letting her survive the early game and finish strong.
She’s not an easy win, but if her skill goes off cleanly, she becomes unstoppable.
Stat Priorities
Speed
Target 800–1000+. She needs solid Speed to avoid falling behind too early, especially in Medium races.
Stamina
Keep it around 450+ up to 550 max unless you're doing Long distance. Her build relies on recovery skills instead of raw Stamina.
Power
Shoot for 700+. It helps her charge forward once her skill triggers, especially during that final stretch.
Wit
Aim for 500+. Her skills are mood-sensitive and timing-heavy, so stable Wit keeps her from choking on activation rolls.
Guts
300+ is typically fine. Helps a little in late-race survival, but not required unless she's running without recovery skills.
Best Support Card Layouts
Basic Build
3 Speed (Sakura Bakushin O, Event Card, SSR El Condor Pasa)
1 Stamina (SSR Super Creek)
1 Wit (SSR Fine Motion)
1 Borrowed Power or Hybrid (SSR Oguri Cap or SSR Narita Brian)
This is a solid general-use deck for Medium/Late runners like Nice Nature. It balances bonding speed, recovery, and Power, while stacking enough Speed to reach race goals.
Balanced Starter Deck
2 Speed, 1 Stamina, 1 Power, 1 Wit, 1 Friend
This is beginner-safe. Not as strong as OP’s setup, but it helps unlock rainbow drills by Summer Camp without overcommitting.
Power Push Deck (for more finish control)
3 Speed, 2 Power, 1 Wit
If you already have recovery from Inheritance or Green Skills, drop the Stamina card and push Power higher for better lane shifting and burst.
Training Tips
Get Fine Motion and Oguri Cap to orange bond fast
Don’t Rest unless you’re flashing red; use Recreation or Friend cards to recover
Save training turns for Speed and Power after bond unlock
Trigger races with G1 priority to hit fan count milestones
Unlock rainbow drills before Summer Camp or you'll miss late-game stats
Inheritance Notes
Inherit Medium A if missing, plus a recovery skill like Green Corner or Tempo Up
Extra Power Sparks help with her final stretch burst
Avoid Dirt or Short unless going PvP meme route
Race Style Options
She works best as a Late-runner. Some players flex her into Pace for more control in bad RNG runs, but her signature skill relies on being behind at the final corner.
She can survive as a Leader or Front, but you’ll never see the real magic unless she’s running from the back.
Final Blurb
Nice Nature is a chaos unit that either wins big or dies mid-pack. If you play her right and stack Speed, Power, and activation-friendly skills, she becomes one of the most satisfying girls to train. All tthat said, don’t expect her to be consistent without real planning.
When her skill activates she just wins. No one knows why. She just does!
TL;DR
Works best as a Late-runner in Medium races
Stat goals: Speed 900+, Power 700+, Wit 500+, Stamina 450+, Guts 300+
Use 3 Speed, 1 Stamina, 1 Wit, 1 Power or Borrow slot
Skill must activate near the final corner to win
Focus on training bond levels early
Inherit recovery and Medium A if needed
Don’t run her Front unless you're throwing for fun
