Winning Ticket Build Guide | Uma Musume Pretty Derby
Written by Priya Kapoor
Winning Ticket is built best as a Medium or Long Betweener with high Power, decent Speed, and just enough healing to survive URA in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Her stat growth favors Power, and her pass skills only trigger if she stays behind until the final stretch.
If you try to run her as Front or Pace, she loses almost everything that makes her strong.
Stat Priorities
Speed
Push to 1000+. She has no Speed bonus, so you’ll need at least two Speed cards.
Stamina
Go for 500+ or a bit more. Use one recovery skill if you can’t hit 600+.
Power
This is her best stat. Reach 800 or higher. Helps her pass cleanly once skills trigger.
Wit
Keep it at 400+. Boosts skill consistency and prevents mood issues.
Guts
Leave it at ~300. Helps in Long races but doesn’t need more than that.
Best Support Card Layouts
Balanced Betweener Deck
3 Speed, 1 Power, 1 Stamina, 1 Wit
Good for early clears. Covers all core stats while keeping room for one healing skill.
Late Surge Skill Setup
2 Speed, 2 Power, 1 Wit, 1 Stamina
Focuses on Power drills to unlock her main skill triggers and pass potential.
Safer Bond Build
2 Speed, 2 Wit, 1 Power, 1 Friend
Helps hit orange bond faster. Use borrowed Super Creek for recovery if needed.
Training Tips
Build bond early to unlock rainbow drills by Summer Camp
Prioritize Speed and Power in Year 2 and 3
Learn healing skills before Long races if under 600 Stamina
Only Rest if energy is red or you’re flashing failure
Use Recreation or Wit drills to recover safely
Inheritance Notes
Inherit Long A and one recovery skill
Power Sparks help more than Speed due to her growth bonuses
Stick to Medium or Long traits, skip Mile and Short entirely
Race Style Options
She should always run as a Betweener. Her passives only activate if she’s not in the front.
Pace is okay in emergencies, but she loses too many pass bonuses. Avoid Front completely.
Final Blurb
Winning Ticket looks like a balanced runner but wins by holding back. If you try to push her forward too early, she fades out. But if you build Power, keep her calm, and let her surge late, she sweeps through the pack clean.
Let her hang back: she knows what she’s doing.
