OSRS Grid Master Jad Guide

OSRS Grid Master Jad Guide

The Fight Caves return in Grid Master, and Jad is once again the main test before unlocking Doom of Mokhaiotl. The relic boosts make it faster, but not easier. One bad prayer swap still ends the run.

How to Unlock Jad in Grid Master Fight Cave

Jad is found inside the standard Fight Caves in Mor Ul Rek. The tile unlocks after entering the cave and completing the full fight. Once defeated, you’ll claim the “Defeat Jad” tile, which also opens access to Doom’s cavern in the south.

You don’t need any quests or prior gear unlocked beyond basic combat levels. Most players tackle Jad after unlocking strong relics like Golden God or Specialist for extra sustain and accuracy.

Recommended Setup and Relics

Ranged setups dominate the fight. The Twisted Bow, Drygore Blowpipe, or a strong crossbow work well. Use Diamond Bolts or Dragon Arrows if available.

Relics that make the fight smoother include:

  • Golden God for infinite prayer and money

  • Specialist for burst phases and faster waves

  • Last Stand for a second chance if you miss a prayer swap

Bring at least one strong healing relic like Infinite Shark to survive chip damage from healers or missed flicks.

How the Fight Works

The Grid Master version of Jad follows the same 63-wave pattern as usual. The early waves are light warm-ups with simple prayer switches. Things ramp up after wave 60 when multiple mages and rangers appear together.

Once Jad spawns, he alternates between ranged and magic attacks. You can tell which by watching his animation:

  • He lifts his feet for range

  • He lowers his head for magic

Swap prayers instantly when you see the cue. Lag or hesitation means a quick death.

When healers spawn around Jad, tag them with ranged hits to pull them off and keep focus on the boss.

Common Player Mistakes

Many players get caught praying the wrong attack type, or forget that Jad can attack from behind. Keep your camera rotated and stay in front. If you panic, eat instead of guessing a prayer. It’s better to lose time than the whole run.

Some also aggro all four healers at once and get stacked out. Tag them carefully and keep your HP above 60 at all times.

Rewards and Unlocks

Defeating Jad grants a large Combat XP bonus and completes the “Defeat Jad” tile. This tile automatically unlocks Doom of Mokhaiotl’s cavern to the south. You can claim the XP from the Slayer Master Ellen afterward for an even bigger boost.

Final Blurb

The Jad fight in Grid Master might be old content, but it still destroys careless players. Stay calm, swap on time, and bring relics that give recovery room. Once you clear it, you’ll open up Doom’s arena and step into one of the hardest challenges on the grid.
