OSRS Grid Master Melee Training Guide

OSRS Grid Master Melee Training Guide

Melee training in Grid Master feels faster than any other skill when you use the right relics and training spots. The XP boosts stack hard, making Strength, Attack, and Defence grind-free once your grid opens up.

How to Train Melee in Grid Master

The best way to start is linking Melee with two other Combatant skills. Most players link Strength, Attack, and Prayer or Magic. This setup gives constant XP from alching, combat hits, and relic procs at the same time.

It also makes your Prayer train passively while you fight, especially once Golden God is unlocked.

Early Game Melee Training

Unlock Golden God first by stealing a valuable in Varlamore at 50 Thieving. This relic gives infinite Alchs and 15 percent more GP each cast. Use the profit to buy solid weapons from Varrock or the TzHaar stores.

Train in the Stronghold of Security for early XP and simple gear upgrades. Then move to Hill Giants or Sand Crabs for AFK levels. Each hit benefits from Grid Master’s XP multiplier and the 95 percent charge save from Tier 1 Combat Mastery.

Mid Game Combat Progress

Once you unlock Scurrius or Bryophyta, train on them for great XP and Mastery progress. Both count toward Combat Mastery unlocks, helping you push tiers faster.

At Tier 2 or 3, your healing and accuracy increase, letting you stay in fights longer without food. Add a Slayer-linked relic so your Melee XP rises alongside Slayer XP.

Multi-combat zones work best after unlocking Melee II. The echo hits trigger often in PvM and deal half your max hit for free extra damage.

Late Game Melee Training

At higher levels, switch to bosses like Kalphite Queen, Leviathan, or Hueycoatl. Every drop rate is boosted 8x in Grid Master, so you earn massive loot while training Strength and Attack.

By the time you reach Melee V or VI, your attack rate is halved, meaning you hit twice as fast. Echoes can chain up to eight times, turning bosses into XP piñatas. Use Golden God to max your stats while funding constant upgrades.

Final Blurb

Melee in Grid Master is the smoothest 99 grind in the event (Attack, Strength, and Defence). Every Combat Mastery tier boosts your power, speed, and sustain, turning you into a walking relic of destruction. Set up your links early, push those tiers, and you’ll max before you even realize it.
