OSRS Grid Master Rewards & Cosmetics Guide

OSRS Gridmaster Rewards Guide | What You Unlock
Old School RuneScape (OSRS)

Every completed square in Gridmaster gives something new to play with, but finishing full lines is where the real power lies. Between relics, XP multipliers, and mastery tiers, the reward system can turn an average account into an endgame monster in a few days.

How the Reward Grid Works

Each task on the 7x7 board gives an individual reward, but finishing an entire row or column gives extra global bonuses. These can double your XP, raise combat mastery levels, or unlock rare relics like Slayer Master and Production Prodigy.

You don’t have to complete the whole grid to get value. Early lines give huge returns that stack across your skills. The center grid line is the best place to start since it unlocks your first major tools and relics.

Main Unlocks from Tasks

Most grid tasks unlock specific relics, items, or power boosts. Here are the biggest early and mid-game ones to focus on.

  • Golden God from stealing valuables in Varlamore, gives passive gold generation

  • Gatherer and Animal Wrangler for boosted resource XP

  • Power Miner and Lumberjack for faster early training

  • Slayer Master from defeating Jal-Zek in the Inferno, grants permanent Slayer XP boosts

  • Production Prodigy from the 30,000 coin Alchemy task, gives massive crafting and cooking bonuses

  • Friendly Forager from cleaning three herbs, accelerates Herblore material drops

  • Bank Heist and Craftsman from early grid tasks, both tied to skilling speed

Each relic stacks with others, so your XP gain ramps up the deeper you go in the grid.

Row and Column Rewards Overview

Full rows and columns unlock global effects that apply to your entire account.

  • Row 4 and Column 4 increase XP gain by 200 percent

  • Rows 3 and 5 raise all Combat Masteries by one tier

  • Row 6 gives Gloves of the Damned

  • Row 7 rewards Rune Saviour

  • Column 2 unlocks the Emperor Ring

  • Column 6 unlocks Sunlight Spear and Sunlit Bracers

  • Column 7 unlocks the Thousand-Dragon Ward

You can stack multiple line bonuses at once, which is why most players prioritize the center grid early before finishing outer lines for relic upgrades.

Row and Column Rewards Overview

Combat Mastery Rewards Explained

Combat Masteries raise your overall combat potential across all styles. Each tier adds small but consistent bonuses to Melee, Ranged, and Magic accuracy and power.

Completing specific tasks or entire lines increases your mastery tier instantly. These stack globally, even across alts during the event. Higher tiers also boost XP from all combat skills, making Slayer and boss grinds faster the longer you play.

Cosmetic Rewards and Shop Items

Completing tasks adds Grid Points, which can be spent at Nevet in Varrock Square. These are permanent cosmetics you can keep after the event on your main account.

Available rewards include:

  • Gridmaster Tabards in four colors

  • Swords and Emblems sets

  • Gridmaster altar and torch scrolls

Each costs between 1,000 and 6,500 Grid Points depending on rarity. The altar and torch scrolls are the most expensive but also the most popular for collectors.

Free-to-Play Reward Access

Free players can complete the entire middle column, plus a few center-row tasks. These include Golden God, Production Prodigy, and the 200 percent XP line reward.

The free route is slower but still strong, with a total level cap high enough to unlock most major relics. F2P players can effectively finish their entire center grid path without membership.

Final Blurb

Gridmaster rewards aren’t just cosmetics, they completely reshape gameplay. Each row or column pushes your account further into overpowered territory, and relic combinations stack faster than any previous event. Start with the center grid, push toward the XP lines, and finish off combat mastery tiers for full account scaling.
