In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, The Jaunt is an early quest where Henry must locate a missing cart for the blacksmith. However, tracking it down isn’t straightforward, and you’ll need to find an overturned cart and a runaway hired hand while dealing with bandits.
This guide will show you where to find the cart, how to track the hired hand, and what rewards you get for completing the quest.
Where to Find the Overturned Cart
Start at the Crossroad Near Apollonia
After speaking with Gnarly, he will tell you to check the road behind you.
Turn right before exiting the tree line and look for cart tracks veering off the road.
Follow the Tracks
You should see a sack of coal on the ground where the tracks turn.
Follow the small pathway to the left, and you’ll spot the overturned cart covered in branches.
Prepare for Combat
Interacting with the cart will advance the quest, but be ready for a fight.
You’ll need to clear out two bandit camps before completing the quest.
Where to Find the Runaway Hired Hand
Fight at the Second Bandit Camp
After the second bandit camp battle, one of the Hired Hands will flee into the rocks.
Your next objective is to track him down.
Find Him Near the First Bandit Camp
Instead of searching through the rocks, head back to the first camp you fought at.
Look for a white tent sheet attached to the rocks.
Take the first right into the rocks, and you’ll find the runaway hiding there.
Convince Him to Return
Since you’re likely covered in blood from the fights, passing an Intimidation check should be easy.
If successful, he will return with you and complete this part of the quest.
Rewards for Completing The Jaunt
80 Groschen from Lord Semine for retrieving the cart.
Returning to the blacksmith will:
Advance the questline leading to an invitation to the Wedding.
Reward you with a Rusted Plate Armor piece.
Increase your reputation in the region.
Final Tips
Stock up on weapons and healing items before fighting the bandits.
Use your map marker to help locate the first bandit camp when tracking the hired hand.
If you fail the intimidation check, you may need to fight or chase him down.
