Palworld Multi-Climate Undershirt Location 1.0
The Multi-Climate Undershirt in Palworld 1.0 is obtained by collecting its schematic from a ruined Schematic Tower in the desert, then crafting the undershirt afterward. It is no longer something you should expect to find sitting in a merchant’s normal inventory, which is why older advice pointing players toward Duneshelter has become unreliable.

What Changed With Thermal Undershirts in Palworld 1.0
Older Palworld routes often directed players to merchants, particularly the vendor in Duneshelter, when they needed a quick source of temperature resistance. That is no longer the dependable route in 1.0, and players starting fresh saves can easily reach the desert only to discover that the expected undershirts are not being sold.
The more reliable approach is now tied to schematics. The Multi-Climate Undershirt, basic Heat Resistant Undershirt, and basic cold-resistant Thermal Undershirt each have schematic locations connected to the new ruined towers placed around the map.
This changes the progression slightly because you are no longer waiting for the correct merchant inventory or hoping a random chest happens to cooperate. Once you know which tower contains the schematic you need, you can travel directly there, complete its activity, and unlock a repeatable way to craft the item.
Where to Find the Multi-Climate Undershirt Schematic
The Multi-Climate Undershirt schematic is found inside a ruined Schematic Tower located in the desert. The tower contains a small minigame or interaction that must be completed before you can claim the schematic.
This is the undershirt most players will eventually want because it covers both sides of temperature management in a single accessory slot. Rather than carrying separate hot and cold options and swapping whenever the weather changes, the Multi-Climate version gives you a more convenient general-purpose solution for exploration.
The desert tower is not intended to be the first stop on a brand-new character, however. Reaching it is more comfortable once you have a decent mount, enough survivability for the region, and the ability to travel without every environmental hazard turning the trip into its own side quest.
A flying mount makes the route much easier because you can approach the tower directly rather than navigating every ridge and hostile group on foot. The Palworld 1.0 flying mounts list covers the current progression options if your starter mount is beginning to feel painfully slow.
How the Schematic Tower Works
The ruined towers added in Palworld 1.0 are not ordinary loot chests. Each one is associated with a schematic and includes a small tower activity that has to be completed before the reward becomes available.
For the Multi-Climate Undershirt, travel to the desert tower, enter or interact with the tower area, and finish the attached minigame. Once the schematic has been collected, the undershirt can be crafted rather than hunted repeatedly as random loot.
The important distinction is that finding the tower does not place the completed undershirt directly into your accessory slot. The reward is the crafting schematic, so you still need to return to your production setup and make the item using the recipe it unlocks.
Keep the schematic with you when checking the relevant crafting station, since Palworld schematics need to be available to unlock their associated recipe. Leaving it behind in an unrelated storage box is an easy way to make the recipe appear as though it never unlocked.
Heat Resistant Undershirt Schematic Location
Players who are not ready to reach the desert Multi-Climate tower can collect the basic Heat Resistant Undershirt schematic from another ruined tower in a much lower-level area.
This tower is located near the Tyrant response area shown on the map, making it a more realistic destination for a fresh save that only needs enough heat resistance to begin exploring hotter regions. It does not provide the same all-purpose protection as the Multi-Climate Undershirt, but it solves the immediate problem without requiring a midgame desert expedition.
The basic heat-resistant version is therefore the better first target when environmental damage is already blocking progression. You can collect the stronger Multi-Climate schematic later, once faster travel and better equipment make the desert route less punishing.
Cold Resistant Thermal Undershirt Location
The basic cold-resistant Thermal Undershirt schematic is found in another Schematic Tower on the Isle of Murmurs, the region previously known as Ice Wind Island. Player reports place it in the tower on the northern side of the island.
This is the better early option for exploring colder territory when you have not yet obtained the Multi-Climate schematic. The route is also useful for fresh characters because the basic cold undershirt can cover the immediate environmental requirement without sending you deep into a more dangerous biome.
As with the desert version, the tower rewards a schematic rather than the finished accessory. Complete the tower activity, collect the recipe, and craft the undershirt after returning to a suitable workstation.
Can Thermal Undershirts Still Drop From Chests or Vendors?
Basic thermal undershirts and their schematics can still appear through other sources, although those routes are less predictable than visiting the dedicated towers.
Players have reported finding them inside the final chest at the end of caves, from ordinary treasure chests, and through traveling merchants that occasionally arrive at a base. These methods can provide an undershirt naturally while you are progressing, but none of them are consistent enough to build a route around.
The Multi-Climate Undershirt in particular should be treated as a schematic-tower reward rather than something you expect to purchase from Duneshelter. You may still stumble into basic hot or cold protection through random loot, but traveling to the correct tower removes the luck from the process.
Multi-Climate Undershirt Video Location
The desert tower and both basic undershirt schematic locations are shown in the video below. This is especially useful because the new towers are easier to recognize visually than they are from a broad written description of the surrounding terrain.
Which Thermal Undershirt Should You Get First?
Go directly for the Multi-Climate Undershirt if your character is already equipped to cross the desert and complete the ruined tower activity. It is the most convenient long-term option because it handles both hot and cold environments without requiring constant accessory swaps.
On a fresh save, the better route is usually to collect whichever basic schematic solves the environmental problem directly in front of you. The Heat Resistant Undershirt is easier to reach in its lower-level zone, while the cold-resistant Thermal Undershirt on the Isle of Murmurs covers early trips into colder regions.
Once your mount, armor, and travel network improve, return for the desert Multi-Climate schematic and replace the two specialized accessories with one item. The old merchant route may have been easier to remember, but the tower system at least gives you a fixed destination instead of asking you to tour Palpagos and inspect every shopkeeper’s inventory.
