Palworld 1.0 Jetragon Location & Coordinates Guide

Jetragon has moved in Palworld 1.0 and can now be found in the Sky Islands at coordinates -553, -1332. The old volcanic spawn used in earlier versions no longer leads to the Legendary Pal, so players returning after the update will need to travel far beyond the original western location to find the new Level 60 Alpha encounter.

What Changed With Jetragon’s Location in Palworld 1.0

Before the 1.0 update, Jetragon was associated with the volcanic region in the west, where players could find it north of the Beach of Everlasting Summer. That information is now outdated, which is why traveling to the old coordinates can make it seem as though the Pal has been removed or turned into a random spawn.

Jetragon has instead been relocated to the Sky Islands. The encounter remains a fixed Level 60 Legendary Alpha boss, but the journey now requires access to the elevated 1.0 areas rather than another trip through the volcano.

This also means older maps, videos, and guides may still direct you toward coordinates around -789, -321. Those coordinates belong to the previous version and should not be used when searching for Jetragon in Palworld 1.0.

Jetragon Location and Coordinates in Palworld 1.0

Jetragon can be found in the Sky Islands at the following coordinates:

Jetragon coordinates: -553, -1332

Travel toward the southwestern Sky Islands and watch the coordinate display as you approach the area. Because the new region sits away from the original landmass, navigating by coordinates is considerably more dependable than trying to follow landmarks from pre-1.0 guides.

You can also use the PalDB Jetragon map to view the marked spawn and compare it with other nearby locations before making the trip.

Jetragon appears as an Alpha boss rather than a normal wild Pal wandering throughout the biome. Once you reach the correct island and approach the boss marker, the encounter should be visible without needing to wait for a particular time of day.

How to Reach Jetragon in the Sky Islands

A flying mount is the most reliable way to reach Jetragon’s new location. The coordinates sit within the Sky Islands, so trying to follow an old ground route from the volcanic region will not bring you close to the boss.

Start from whichever fast-travel point gives you the shortest flight toward the southwestern portion of the new island chain, then continue toward -553, -1332 while monitoring your stamina and altitude. Land somewhere safe before entering the boss area so you are not forced into combat while still trying to manage your mount.

The length of the journey makes mount speed and stamina more important than they were at the old location. The Palworld 1.0 flying mounts list covers the available progression options if your current mount struggles to make longer trips between the new islands.

Bring enough food and repair your equipment before leaving your base. Reaching the correct coordinates only to discover that your weapon is nearly broken adds an unnecessary return flight to an encounter that already sits well outside the early map.

Is Jetragon’s Spawn Random in Palworld 1.0?

Jetragon’s location is not randomized. It remains a fixed Legendary Alpha encounter at -553, -1332 in the Sky Islands.

Some of the confusion comes from changes involving Predator Pals, whose appearances can work differently from standard Alpha bosses. Those changes do not apply to Jetragon, so you do not need to search several islands or wait for the game to choose a new spawn each day.

If Jetragon is not immediately visible, first confirm that you are using the new coordinates rather than the old volcanic location. Moving slightly around the marked area may also help if you arrived above or below the boss platform rather than directly beside it.

How to Prepare for the Jetragon Fight

Jetragon is a Level 60 Legendary Dragon-type Pal with a high base Attack stat, so reaching the location is only the first part of the encounter. Players arriving with underleveled armor or midgame weapons can be defeated quickly even if the rest of the trip felt manageable.

Ice-type Pals are the strongest elemental choice because Dragon is weak to Ice. Bring your most developed Ice attackers rather than relying on a low-level counter that happens to have the correct element, since the level difference will matter more than type advantage alone if your party is significantly behind.

Ranged weapons are preferable because they allow you to pressure Jetragon while repositioning around its attacks. Rocket Launcher hits can also create opportunities through their stun effect, although every shot should be timed carefully rather than fired whenever the boss moves into view.

A Pal with a healing Partner Skill can make failed dodges less punishing during a longer attempt. Jetragon’s damage can turn one mistake into several if you are forced to retreat while both your health and shields are already low.

How to Beat and Catch Jetragon

Begin the fight from a controlled position rather than attacking as soon as Jetragon enters render distance. Clear enough space to move, recall your flying mount if necessary, and make sure you are not standing somewhere that limits your ability to dodge.

Let an Ice-type Pal hold Jetragon’s attention while you attack from range, then reposition whenever the boss turns toward you. Jetragon’s speed makes greedy damage windows especially dangerous, and attempting to squeeze in one more reload or rocket often costs more health than the additional shot was worth.

Use higher-tier Pal Spheres once its health is low enough to justify a capture attempt. Legendary Alphas can consume a large number of spheres even at low health, so bring more than you expect rather than treating the first failed throw as a reason to leave the island and restock.

Avoid reducing its health too aggressively once you enter capture range. High-powered weapons and strong Ice attacks can finish the boss before you have another opportunity to throw a sphere, particularly if your Pal continues attacking while you are focused on the capture percentage.

What Level Is the Jetragon Saddle in Palworld 1.0?

Jetragon’s saddle now requires Level 79 in Palworld 1.0. Capturing the Legendary Pal therefore does not immediately give a new character access to its full flying-mount utility, even if you manage to reach and defeat the boss earlier.

The increased saddle requirement places Jetragon firmly within late-game progression. It remains an SS-tier flying mount and combat Pal, but players starting a fresh save will need another mount for the journey to its spawn and for a considerable stretch after the initial capture.

This makes the first Jetragon valuable primarily as a combat addition and future mount unlock rather than an instant replacement for your current flyer. By the time you reach Level 79, however, having the Pal already captured means you can craft the saddle as soon as the technology becomes available.

Why Jetragon Is Missing From Its Old Location

Jetragon has not been removed from Palworld 1.0, and its spawn has not become random. It was moved from the old volcanic boss area to the Sky Islands at -553, -1332 as part of the map and progression changes introduced with the full release.

Use a flying mount to reach the new island, prepare for a Level 60 Dragon-type Alpha, and bring a developed Ice team rather than assuming the trip itself will be the difficult part. The old Beach of Everlasting Summer route is now useful mainly as a reminder of how much of Palworld’s familiar progression moved when 1.0 arrived.
