PEAK How to Save the Game & Progress
At this moment in time, you cannot manually save your game or progress in PEAK and there is no auto-save feature either.
Every session starts from the bottom, but achievements, and cosmetics you unlock will save on your account. Here’s a bit more info.
No Save Feature in PEAK
PEAK does not let you save progress, even mid-climb.
Once you start a session, you have to keep going until you finish or quit. If you leave or fall, you restart from wherever you land... or from the very beginning.
This applies to both solo and co-op play.
No Checkpoints or Resume System
There are no checkpoints, no pause-and-resume, and no way to continue a climb later.
Every run is fresh, and if you fall off the mountain, that progress is gone for good. It works like the game Getting Over It, where the challenge comes from not messing up.
No Auto-Save Either
PEAK also doesn’t include any kind of auto-save system.
If you exit the game, you will not return to where you left off. The session ends, and a new one begins the next time you play.
The Map Changes Daily
To make things even harder, the mountain changes every 24 hours.
That means even if you wanted to repeat your progress, the layout and item placements will be different. Every run is unique.
Cosmetics Will Save
Obviously any achievements you unlock are considered as saved progress, and any cosmetics will save to your account so you can use them during any run if you select them prior.
Final Blurb
There is no saving in PEAK. No manual saves, no checkpoints, and no auto-saves. If you quit or fall, you start over. Bring patience... and maybe a padded keyboard.
