Pragmata All Weapons: Full List and How They Work

Pragmata keeps its weapon pool tight, but each one is built around hacking, positioning, and timing. You are not collecting dozens of guns. You are learning how each one fits into the combat loop and when to bring it out for maximum impact.

Full Pragmata Weapons List Explained

Pragmata features a small set of core weapons and breakable weapons, all tied to specific combat roles and a loadout system unlocked through the Shelter.

You always have access to your core weapons, while the rest are found during missions and later unlocked for loadout use through upgrades. Please note this is a WIP and will be updated as we play the game more.

Core Weapons

Grip Gun (Pistol)

Your starting weapon and the only one you always have.

It uses a heat system instead of ammo, meaning it never permanently breaks. Once it overheats, it briefly shuts down before recharging.

This becomes your fallback tool throughout the entire game. After upgrades, it is reliable for finishing enemies after a hack exposes weak points.

Charge Rifle

Unlocked later and becomes your main sustained damage option.

It also runs on heat, but deals stronger damage and fires faster than the Grip Gun. The recoil forces you to control your shots, especially at range.

Once both are unlocked, swapping between them during cooldowns becomes your baseline damage loop.

Attack Weapons

These are your main damage spikes. They are breakable and must be managed carefully.

Shockwave Blaster

A close-range weapon that deals heavy burst damage and staggers enemies.

This is strongest immediately after a hack. When enemies are exposed, this can wipe them out in one clean shot at close range.

Charge Piercer

A long-range weapon that pierces through multiple enemies.

It works best when enemies line up or when targeting weak points from a distance after hacking.

Grenade Launcher

Area damage weapon designed for groups.

It clears clustered enemies quickly, especially after multi-target hacks soften them up.

Homing Missiles

Lock-on weapon that tracks targets automatically.

It is most effective against fast or airborne enemies that are difficult to hit manually.

Tactical and Control Weapons

These weapons focus on control instead of raw damage.

Stasis Net

Freezes enemies in place for a short time.

This creates safe windows to complete hacks or line up stronger attacks. It becomes extremely valuable in high-pressure fights.

Decoy Generator

Deploys a distraction that pulls enemy attention away.

This is useful during longer hacks or when multiple enemies are attacking at once.

Riot Blaster

A suppression weapon that disrupts enemy targeting.

It helps control groups and creates space, but is weaker against single targets.

How Weapon Unlocks and Loadouts Work

Weapons do not stay purely as random pickups.

When you first find a weapon, it works as a temporary tool. Once its ammo is gone, it breaks and disappears.

After returning to the Shelter, you can upgrade that weapon using resources. Once upgraded, it becomes available in your loadout before missions.

Even then, it still breaks during use, but you now have consistent access to it instead of relying on finding it again.

This creates a loop:

  • find a weapon in the field

  • unlock and upgrade it at the Shelter

  • equip it for future runs

Best Weapons By Use Case

Instead of a simple tier list, weapons make more sense based on situations.

For close-range burst:

  • Shockwave Blaster

For long-range damage:

  • Charge Piercer

  • Charge Rifle

For crowd control:

  • Grenade Launcher

  • Riot Blaster

For control and setup:

  • Stasis Net

  • Decoy Generator

For consistency:

  • Grip Gun rotation

The strongest setups come from combining these roles rather than relying on a single weapon.

How Weapons Work With Hacking

Weapons are built around hacking, not separate from it.

Hacking exposes enemies and creates a short window where they take increased damage. Weapons are meant to capitalize on that window.

The natural flow looks like this:

  • hack enemy

  • expose weak point

  • swap to high-damage weapon

  • unload damage

  • reposition

If you skip hacking, weapons feel weaker. If you combine both systems, fights end much faster.

  • Grip Gun, infinite fallback weapon with heat management

  • Charge Rifle, main sustained damage weapon

  • Shockwave Blaster, strongest close-range burst
