Ranch Simulator Beehive Guide | How To Find Capture And Use Bees

Bees work very differently from other animals in Ranch Simulator. They are not bought, they do not breed, and they require specific tools to handle safely.

This guide explains exactly how beehives work, where to find bees, and how to set them up on your ranch.

How Beehives Work In Ranch Simulator

Beehives are created by capturing wild bees and placing them into a wooden beehive on your ranch. Bees only exist as frames and never move or duplicate on their own.

Each bee frame must be collected from the world. There is no automation or breeding involved.

Where To Find Bees In The World

Bees spawn in the wild on uncut trees. They will not appear on trees that have been chopped down.

They are most commonly found on medium sized trees. Multiple beehives can exist across the map at the same time, so exploration is required.

Tools Needed To Capture Bees

Capturing bees requires specific equipment from the General Store. Skipping any of these will get you stung fast.

  • Bee smoker

  • Hive frame

  • Wooden beehive

The bee smoker must be used every time bees are handled.

How To Capture A Beehive Safely

Capturing bees follows a strict order. Doing it wrong results in damage.

Place the bee smoker under or near the wild hive.
Turn the smoker on to calm the bees.
Pick up a hive frame.
Look at the hive and use the collect control.

Once collected, the frame now contains bees and must be treated carefully.

Any time bees are moved, the smoker must be active.

Placing Bees On Your Ranch

Captured bee frames must be placed into a wooden beehive on your ranch. This can be done anywhere on your property.

Bees will stay locked to their frame. They will not migrate to empty frames, even if they are in the same wooden beehive.

Filling A Wooden Beehive

Bees do not breed in Ranch Simulator. There is no way to multiply them.

To fill one wooden beehive, you must collect 5 separate bee frames from the wild. Each frame comes from a different wild hive.

This makes beekeeping slow, but very consistent.

Final Blurb

Beekeeping in Ranch Simulator is a long term setup that rewards patience. Find wild hives, use the smoker every time, and build your wooden beehive one frame at a time. Take it slow and you will avoid a lot of pain, literally.
