Schedule 1: Pickpocket Guide

Note: This guide covers content from Schedule 1, a satirical video game set in a fictional world. All items, recipes, and references are entirely made up and exist only in the game. Please don’t try any of this in real life!
So, you sold your product to a happy customer and thought, “You know what? I’d like that back.” Welcome to pickpocketing—the high-risk, low-morals mechanic that’ll get you the Indian Dealer achievement (and maybe a wanted level or two).

How to Pickpocket
Step 1: Crouch with
CTRL
This puts you in sneaky mode. Real subtle-like.Step 2: Sneak up behind an NPC
Works best if they’re standing still or zoned out after their first hit.Step 3: When prompted, press
E
to pickpocket
Time stops when you do this. Yes, even physics respects the hustle.Step 4: Complete the mini-game
It’s a simple timing challenge: press the button when the arrow hits the sweet spot. Hit it? You snag the goods. Miss? Well…
What Happens If You Fail?
If you mess up, your target becomes a tattletale. A phone icon will appear over their head and start filling. That’s the "Snitch-O-Meter." Once it’s full, cops show up—and they don’t bring cupcakes.
Pro tip: If this happens, don’t just stand there. Run.
How to Avoid Police After a Botched Pickpocket
Option 1: Run to your hideout
If no cop sees you going in, you’re golden. Just wait it out inside.Option 2: Jump in a dumpster
Yep. Literally hide in the trash. Some of the large alleyway bins let you crouch inside and close the lid. Cops rarely check these. What NOT to do:
Don’t wander in circles, don’t get spotted, and don’t try to finish your deal while sirens are blaring.
How to Get the Dealer Achievement
Make a successful sale.
Pickpocket the item back.
Don’t get arrested.
Profit.
That’s it. It’s both dumb and amazing.
Final Blurb
Pickpocketing in Schedule 1 is chaotic, risky, and slightly ridiculous—but it’s also one of the most fun things you can do after a deal. Just remember: timing is everything. Oh, and if the police catch you, your biggest fear isn’t jail—it’s losing $10K worth of product to the evidence room.
Now get out there and rob your own customers like a true entrepreneur.
