Skate How to Fly Guide – Take the Plunge Challenge

Flying in Skate isn’t just about catching big air off ramps. The Take the Plunge goal asks you to launch yourself without your skateboard and soar through bridge supports. It sounds wild, but the game has a ragdoll system that makes this possible if you use the right moves.

How to Start Flying in Skate

To begin, head to the top of the house marked on the map for the Take the Plunge challenge. Once there, you’ll need to complete three tasks. One of them requires flying through the gaps in the bridge supports.

Start by sprinting with LS to gain speed, then jump into the air. While airborne, press R1/RB to dive. This builds momentum and lets you cover more distance.

Using Spread Eagle to Stay in the Air

After the dive, press R1/RB and X/A together to perform the Spread Eagle move. This puts your character into a wide flying pose that keeps you gliding.

If you don’t land perfectly on the spot, the ragdoll effect can help. Your body’s momentum may still carry you far enough to complete the objective.

Completing Take the Plunge Challenge

You need to hit two target locations after flying. If you miss the mark, the game will reset you back to the starting spot so you can try again. Keep practicing until you pass through the bridge supports and land correctly.

If your progress doesn’t track, double check server status. Sometimes online issues prevent the goal from updating.

Final Blurb

Flying in Skate is all about momentum and timing. Sprint, dive, and spread out with the Spread Eagle to soar through the bridge supports. Once you master the Take the Plunge goal, you unlock one of the game’s trickiest and funniest challenges.
