Tiny Bookshop - How to Add Books to Shelf

Tiny Bookshop - How to Add Books to Shelf

In Tiny Bookshop, keeping your shelves stocked is essential for steady sales. Books must be placed before starting your day, and the more you stock a genre, the higher the chance customers will buy from it.

Buy Books for Your Storage

Books are purchased through the Bookenbury Review newspaper in the bottom left of the screen. Collections are sold in boxes, sometimes labeled by genre and sometimes as mystery boxes. Prices vary daily and can drop for sales or rise based on how many books are inside.

When you buy a collection, it opens immediately to reveal the number of books and their genres. These books go straight into your storage, shown on the right side of the screen.

Stock Shelves Before Starting the Day

Select a location from the map to open the stocking screen. Your storage appears on the left, and your shop shelves are on the right. Click a genre to select it, then place it onto a shelf with the left mouse button. Click and drag to place multiple books quickly.

To remove books from the shelves, use the right mouse button. Be careful not to overload a single genre if you have limited space, as this can limit variety for customers.

Manage Shelf Space and Sale Chance

Having more books of a genre increases that genre’s sale chance. You can see the percentage for each genre by hovering over its color on the stock screen. Plan your stock to match customer preferences for the location you are visiting that day.

Commit to Your Stock for the Day

Once you hit the arrow button to confirm your location, your stock is locked in. You cannot add or change books until the next day, so double-check your shelves before starting.

Final Blurb

Stocking shelves in Tiny Bookshop is simple but critical for success. Buy book collections, fill your shelves with a balanced variety, and match your stock to location preferences. More books in a genre mean higher sales chances, so plan carefully before setting out for the day.
