Voidtrain How To Drink Water on Xbox

Running out of water in Voidtrain can end your trip fast. On Xbox, the drinking system is easy to miss since the controls aren’t clearly explained.
How To Drink Water / Boiled Water
When you’ve crafted or collected water (or boiled water), it goes straight into your inventory. You can’t drink it with a quick-slot or by pressing A, which only picks it up or moves it around.
To actually consume it, open your inventory and highlight the Boiled Water. Press X to open the “More Details” menu. From there, choose “Use” to drink it and refill your hydration bar.
Why It Doesn’t Work Normally
The game’s controller layout doesn’t assign a direct “consume” button for water like it does for food or bandages. It must be done through the item’s details screen. It’s a small UI quirk that confuses a lot of players early on.
If pressing X doesn’t open the details screen, make sure the cursor is directly over the Boiled Water stack and not the empty slot next to it. The option won’t show otherwise.
Tips To Avoid Dehydration
Always keep a few bottles of Boiled Water ready before long rides through the Void.
Use the Smelter or Cooking Station to purify water early whenever possible.
Watch your hydration bar closely during hot or high-exertion segments.
Don’t waste Boiled Water when full, since it’s harder to find than basic food.
Final Blurb
Drinking Boiled Water on Xbox takes an extra button press but works fine once you know where to look. Open the inventory, hit X for more details, and select Use to stay alive and hydrated during your Void runs.
