Waterpark Simulator Review | A Hilarious Management Game
I did not expect Waterpark Simulator (on Steam) to become one of my favorite sims this year, but it absolutely did. From the moment I opened my rundown park and started fixing broken chairs, scooping trash, and serving hot dogs, I knew I was in for something crazy and addictive.
The game starts small. You handle everything yourself. Tickets, food stalls, cleaning, repairs, intruders, even rescuing guests who panic at the diving board. It feels hectic but in a way that is strangely satisfying. Every minute is filled with something to do and there is never a dull moment.
As your park grows, progression kicks in. Each star unlocks new research points, letting you expand and hire staff. The first time I brought in a cashier, it completely changed the flow of the game. Suddenly I had breathing room to focus on stalls and upgrades. Later on, adding cleaners and mechanics helped shift the load even more, giving the park a real sense of evolution. Watching the place go from a dirty one pool setup to a multi star waterpark was genuinely rewarding.
What really makes this game stand out is its humor. The ragdoll physics are hilarious, whether guests are slipping on puddles, tumbling into chairs, or getting shoved out when they try to sneak in. It is goofy and ridiculous, but it never stops being fun. Every accident makes the park feel alive and unpredictable.
There is strategy hidden in the random stuff that happens too. Expanding the park means more money but also more problems. You have to decide when to hire, when to save, and when to invest in prestige items. Going too big too fast can leave you buried in puddles and broken equipment. Playing smart feels just as important as running around with a mop.
Since it is Early Access, the game is still rough in places. Staff sometimes wander instead of helping, and certain upgrades do not feel as impactful as they should. Even with these quirks, the base gameplay is solid and the roadmap looks promising. The developers are active, quick to patch, and clearly passionate about making this the best waterpark sim possible.
If you enjoy fast paced management games that do not take themselves too seriously, Waterpark Simulator is worth it. It is funny, frantic, and strangely relaxing at the same time. Building your park, laughing at the chaos, and slowly turning it into something successful is a loop that kept me hooked for hours.
Even with the issue it has, it is a solid 9/10 game for me.
