Where to Find Graeme the Cook (AKA Chef)

Graeme is hiding in plain sight. You’ll find him in the loft at the top of Old Witchwood Village, just before the castle area. If you remember where you picked up the grappling hook, he’s in that same house—tucked away behind some boxes like he's avoiding responsibility.

If you missed him, it’s likely because you didn’t trigger a conversation with an NPC in the bottom left of the village. So, on your next playthrough, make sure to chat with everyone before rushing off to fight things. Once you clear the boxes and say hello, Graeme will happily start cooking for you.

How Cooking Works

Once unlocked, Graeme can turn your random ingredients into meals that boost your stats or help you recover. Here’s what you need to know:

  • One food buff at a time—don’t get greedy.

  • His cooking gets better as his Artisan Level increases.

  • Bring him ingredients you find while exploring (yes, those mushrooms and cabbages actually have a purpose).

Early Game Recipes Graeme Can Cook

Here’s what Graeme can whip up when he’s not hiding behind crates:

  • Bread
+10 Max Stamina and +6% Move Speed for 10 minutes.
Because running faster solves most problems.

  • Cabbage Dumplings
Restores 50 Health and Mana over 2 minutes.
A quick fix after things go sideways.

  • Mushroom Stew
+30 Max Mana and restores 0.5 Mana/sec out of combat for 10 minutes.
For when your magic addiction kicks in.

  • Rabbit Broth
+50 Max Health and restores 1 Health/sec out of combat for 10 minutes.
Great if you enjoy not dying.

Final Blurb

Graeme might be easy to overlook, but once you find him, he’ll keep you well-fed and a lot harder to kill. Next time you're in Old Witchwood Village, clear out those boxes near the grappling hook spot and unlock one of the most useful NPCs in Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree. Your future, slightly healthier self will thank you.
