If you’re jumping into WoW housing and planning out multiple homes across your characters, you might be disappointed to learn there’s a firm limit. Blizzard’s keeping things simple for now, and your account only gets a few spots to decorate.
Current Housing Limit
Right now, every account can own one Horde house and one Alliance house. That’s it. You can’t stack up extra homes or buy new plots for the same faction. Each of your characters can visit either house as long as they’re on the same account, which helps if you like to switch between alts often.
Your Horde characters can only enter your Horde home, and your Alliance characters can only access your Alliance one. There’s no shared neutral home or cross-faction housing yet.
How It Works Across Characters
The homes are account-wide, so all your characters on a faction share the same space. That means any decor, upgrades, or dyes you unlock in your house stay visible to all your characters of that faction. You don’t have to redo the setup for every alt, which keeps things nice and simple.
If you want both factions to have their own space, you’ll need to create and customize one of each.
Future Expansion
Blizzard has mentioned that housing will likely expand over time. The developers are focused on single-player ownership for launch, but future patches could add guild halls, shared homes, or even multiple properties per account. Nothing’s confirmed yet, though, so for now, the two-house limit is your ceiling.
