Ace Combat 8 Best Mission to Farm MRP
There isn't really one best MRP farm for every Ace Combat 8 player. If I only care about making money as quickly as possible, I'd farm Mission 16. If I'm settling in for a longer grind and don't want to reload a mission every few minutes, Mission 27 is a much better alternative. Mission 28 is the one I'd choose when I still need aircraft kills or other combat milestones alongside the MRP.

Which Mission Should You Farm?
Mission 16 Is the Best Pure MRP Farm in Ace Combat 8
If MRP itself is the only thing you care about, Mission 16, Singer, is where I'd start.
The advantage isn't an enormous payout at the results screen. It's how quickly the entire mission can be turned around. A short clear lets you collect the reward, reload the mission, and start earning again while a longer farming mission would still be somewhere in the middle of its first run.
That's the distinction that matters. A mission paying three times as much isn't a better farm if it takes four or five times longer to finish.
My MRP Farm Picks
Mission 16 — Best for pure MRP speed
Mission 27 — Best for longer farming sessions
Mission 28 — Best for MRP plus aircraft/combat progress
Why Mission 16 Works So Well
Mission 16 is a short-cycle farm. You're not trying to destroy every optional target or turn the sortie into a massive scoring run. You want to identify what needs to die, clear the mission efficiently, and get back to the results screen.
That makes target recognition more important here than ammunition management.
For the ship section, learn what the correct targets look like instead of repeatedly checking every contact. Once you know what you're looking for, a lot of otherwise wasted searching disappears from the run.
The rest of the mission favors air-to-air weapons that can remove drones and aircraft without forcing you into long individual dogfights.
Useful Mission 16 SP Weapons
• 4AAM
• QAAM
• SASM
• HPAA
I wouldn't go out of my way to inflate the score once the mission is ready to end. Mission 16's entire advantage disappears if a fast repeat suddenly becomes a lengthy score hunt.
Mission 27 Is Better if You Hate Constant Restarts
Mission 27, Fatsia, The Ocean Fortress, is the farm I'd use if repeating a tiny mission over and over starts getting annoying.
It takes considerably longer than Mission 16, but it also provides a much larger reward per completed run and spends far more of your session actually flying instead of moving through results screens, aircraft selection, and loading screens.
That's an important distinction that raw mission timers don't capture.
If Mission 16 has you spending part of every few minutes navigating menus, the theoretical advantage starts shrinking once you measure your actual session from the moment you begin farming to the moment you stop.
Mission 27 also has a much more interesting optimization angle: chain destruction.
Rather than attacking isolated enemies one at a time, look for targets that let one destruction cascade into nearby units. Those chains let you build score while advancing the mission much faster than manually clearing everything around them.
After exploiting those opportunities, move through the major structures and clean up whatever SAMs, aircraft, or other threats remain.
Good Mission 27 Options
F-15E — XSDB or SFFS
F-35C — LACM or 8AGM
FA-36 — SOD or SASM
For this farm, I care much more about quickly removing groups of surface targets than winning one-on-one air fights.
Mission 28 Is Better for Completion Farming Than Pure MRP
Mission 28, A Thousand Points of Light, is probably the most obvious farming mission because the final payout can be huge. That doesn't necessarily make it the fastest way to earn MRP.
The mission is long. If currency is your only unfinished requirement, I'd rather complete several faster farming runs than spend that entire stretch inside one sortie.
But Mission 28 has something the shorter farms don't: a ridiculous number of aircraft.
That changes its value completely if you're still working through other campaign counters.
Mission 28 Is Great for Combining:
• MRP
• Aircraft Annihilator progress
• Air-to-Air Ace progress
• Machine-gun aircraft kills
• General campaign enemy kills
The airfield also lets you rearm during the sortie, which means there's less reason to conserve Special Weapons. Use them, reload, and keep clearing aircraft.
This is where I think Mission 28 gets mislabeled. I wouldn't call it the best money farm. I'd call it the best farm when you need money and a pile of air-combat progress at the same time.
My Ace Combat 8 achievements and trophy guide breaks down the MRP, aircraft-kill, Special Weapon, and other completion requirements.
Measure MRP Per Real Minute, Not Just Mission Time
This is the part I'd actually use to decide which farm is best on your own setup.
Don't compare only the timer shown for the mission. Time your entire farming cycle.
Count Everything
Start timing when you begin the mission.
Include the actual sortie.
Include the results screen.
Include aircraft/loadout menus.
Include loading into the next run.
Stop when the next run actually begins.
Then compare how much MRP your total session gained against that real elapsed time.
This is particularly important for Mission 16. A very short mission gets hit proportionally harder by menus and loading than Mission 27 does. If your PC or console loads quickly and you move through the menus immediately, Mission 16 becomes even more attractive. If your restart cycle is slow, Mission 27 starts closing the gap.
I'd test each for about 15 minutes rather than obsessing over one perfect clear. Whichever mission leaves you with the biggest increase after the same real-world amount of time is the better farm for your setup and skill level.
Higher Difficulty Is Only Better if You Stay Fast
Higher difficulties improve your rewards, but difficulty should not be treated separately from clear speed.
If you can move from Elite to Ace while keeping essentially the same farming route, take the extra reward.
If Ace suddenly makes enemies take longer to kill, causes deaths, or forces repeated checkpoints, the higher multiplier can stop being worth it.
For farming, I care about consistency more than proving I can clear the hardest setting.
If you still need to unlock Ace, my Ace Combat 8 Ace difficulty guide has the requirement.
Build Around the Mission, Not One Universal Farming Plane
I wouldn't use the same aircraft and weapon setup for all three farms.
Mission 16 rewards rapid target identification and air-to-air kills. Mission 27 rewards efficient surface destruction and chain reactions. Mission 28 rewards sustained air combat and enough ammunition to keep working through repeated waves.
Those are completely different jobs.
Use the aircraft that shortens the part of each mission that normally slows you down. That's more useful than forcing one supposedly optimal jet into every farming route.
My Ace Combat 8 best planes guide has my picks for those different roles.
Which MRP Farming Mission Should You Actually Use?
I'd choose based on what's slowing down your save rather than blindly replaying the mission with the biggest payout.
I Only Need MRP
Farm Mission 16.
I Want to Grind for a Long Time Without Constant Menus
Farm Mission 27.
I Still Need Thousands of Aircraft or SP Weapon Kills
Farm Mission 28.
I'm Still Missing S Ranks or Assault Records
Don't pure-farm yet. Complete those objectives and take the MRP they give you first.
The best farm can therefore change as you get closer to 100% completion. Mission 28 may make sense while several combat counters are unfinished, then Mission 16 can become the better choice once MRP is the only thing left.
That's how I'd approach the grind: farm whatever your save actually needs, not whichever mission happens to produce the largest number after one run.
If you're ready to push into the hardest campaign setting, my Ace Combat 8 Ace difficulty guide explains the exact unlock requirement and what you need to complete first.
